Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan profil kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa kelas IV SD dalam menyelesaikan masalah bangun datar menggunakan konteks Batik Gresik, serta mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam mengenali dan menjelaskan sifat bangun datar yang terdapat pada motif batik tersebut. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari enam siswa berdasarkan kategori kemampuan matematika (tinggi, sedang, rendah). Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa Lembar Tes Kemampuan Penalaran Matematika Siswa (LTKPMS) yang mengacu pada tujuh indikator penalaran matematika: mengajukan dugaan, melakukan manipulasi matematika, menarik kesimpulan logis, menyusun bukti atau alasan, memakai pola dan hubungan, menyusun generalisasi, serta membuat representasi matematika. Selain itu, dilakukan wawancara mendalam serta analisis terhadap gambar representasi jawaban siswa yang berkaitan dengan motif batik Gresik seperti Damar Kurung, Gedung Industri, dan Gapura Pemda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator penalaran matematika secara konsisten pada dua jenis motif batik, serta mampu mendeskripsikan sifat bangun datar secara rinci, logis, dan kontekstual. Siswa dengan kemampuan sedang mampu menunjukkan sebagian indikator, seperti mengajukan dugaan, menarik kesimpulan, dan menyusun alasan, namun kesulitan dalam manipulasi lanjutan dan generalisasi bentuk. Sedangkan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah hanya mampu menunjukkan pengenalan visual terhadap bentuk bangun datar sederhana tanpa penalaran mendalam atau representasi yang akurat.Dalam hal mendeskripsikan sifat bangun datar pada motif Batik Gresik, siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi dapat mengenali dan menjelaskan sifat bangun seperti jumlah sisi, besar sudut, kesimetrian, dan keteraturan pola. Siswa sedang menunjukkan pemahaman terbatas pada bentuk dasar dan ciri umum, sedangkan siswa rendah cenderung menjelaskan berdasarkan bentuk nyata tanpa mengaitkan dengan konsep geometri secara spesifik.

This study aims to describe the profile of the mathematical reasoning ability of fourth grade elementary school students in solving flat geometry problems using the context of Gresik Batik, and to describe students' abilities in recognizing and explaining the properties of flat geometry contained in the batik motif. The research subjects consisted of six students based on the category of mathematical ability (high, medium, low). The research approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of Student Mathematical Reasoning Ability Test Sheets (LTKPMS), which refers to seven indicators of mathematical reasoning: proposing conjectures, performing mathematical manipulations, drawing logical conclusions, compiling evidence or reasons, using patterns and relationships, compiling generalizations, and making mathematical representations. In addition, in-depth interviews and analysis of the representation images of students' answers related to Gresik batik motifs such as Damar Kurung, Gedung Industri, and Gapura Pemda were conducted. The results of the study showed that students with high abilities were able to fulfill all indicators of mathematical reasoning consistently in two types of batik motifs, and were able to describe the properties of flat shapes in detail, logically, and contextually. Students with moderate abilities were able to show some indicators, such as proposing conjectures, drawing conclusions, and compiling reasons, but had difficulty in further manipulation and generalization of shapes. Meanwhile, students with low abilities were only able to show visual recognition of simple flat shapes without in-depth reasoning or accurate representation. In terms of describing the properties of flat shapes in Batik Gresik motifs, students with high abilities can recognize and explain the properties of shapes such as the number of sides, angle sizes, symmetry, and pattern regularity. Medium students show limited understanding of basic shapes and general characteristics, while low students tend to explain based on real shapes without specificly linking them to geometric concepts.
