This
research aims to develop Augmented Reality learning media based on Problem
Based Learning that is suitable for use and increases Higher Order Thinking
Skills and students' Learning Motivation on virus material in the biology
subject of class X students at SMAN 1 Kedamean Gresik.
This
research was conducted at SMAN1 Kedamean Gresik with the research subjects
being class X students in semester 1 of the 2023/2024 academic year. The method
applied in this research is research and development (R & D) using the
ADDIE development model. The type of research carried out was experimental
research with a posttest group design. Instruments used to collect
questionnaire and test data. The HOTS results and learning motivation have been
tested by expert validation, validation, as well as reliability testing using
Cronbach's Alpha. Meanwhile, the normality test uses the Kolmogorov Smirnov
Test and the homogeneity test uses Levene's test and for the prerequisite test
uses the independent sample t test formula. The data that has been successfully
collected is then analyzed using the t test. In terms of statistics,
researchers used SPSS version 26 software.
Based on the feasibility results, it
was found that the Augmented Reality learning media based on Problem Based
Learning was suitable for learning virus material in biology subjects. This
feasibility is obtained from learning design experts, media experts, materials
and user testing. Expert validity results obtained an average value of 95.51%.
The results of the first hypothesis test found that the difference in the
average HOTS value in the control group was 67.08, which was lower than the
average HOTS value for the experimental group, which was 89.89. Then the HOTS
significance value is 0.000, this shows that there is a significant difference
between the control group and the experimental group. In the second hypothesis,
it was found that the difference in the average value of learning motivation in
the control group was 83.36, which was lower than the average value of learning
motivation for the experimental group, which was 101.86. Then the significance
value of learning motivation is 0.000, this shows that there is a significant
difference between the control group and the experimental group.
