DEVELOPMENT OF AVO LEARNING MEDIA ON CHILDREN'S ENGLISH VOCABULARY ABILITIES
Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini belum ada pengembangan media pembelajaran AVO untuk kemampuan Bahasa Inggris pada anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses pengembangan media pembelajaran AVO kosakata Bahasa Inggris anak, untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran AVO kosakata Bahasa Inggris anak, serta untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari media pembelajaran AVO kosakata Bahasa Inggris anak. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pengembangan atau RnD (Research and Development). Model yang digunakan adalah ASSURE (analyze learners, state objectives, select methods, media, and materials, utilize media and materials, require learners participation, evaluate and revise). ASSURE menautkan penggunaan teknologi dan media pembelajaran dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Instrumen penelitian berbentuk lembar validasi materi, lembar validasi media, lembar pretest, lembar posttest, serta lembar penilaian anak. Subjek penelitian 30 anak di TK Tunas Bangsa, Geger, Lamongan. Teknik pengambilan data berupa angket dan observasi. Hasil penilaian dari para ahli memperoleh persentase 92,5% dari ahli media, sedangkan dari ahli materi memperoleh persentase 92,5%. Hasil efektivitas produk mendapatkan nilai Asymp. Sig = 0,00 < 𝛼 = 0,05 maka H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media pembelajaran AVO terhadap kemampuan kosakata Bahasa Inggris anak.

As a result of the study’s difficulties, no AVO media for children’s English language proficiency have been developed. The intent of this study was to measure the process of developing English vocabulary with AVO learning media for children, the feasibility of AVO learning media for children, and the effectiveness of AVO learning media for children. Development, additionally referred to as R&D (Research and Development), is the research method. ASSURE (Analyze learners, State objectives, Settle on techniques, media, and materials, Use media and materials, Require learners participation, evaluate, and revise) is the model that is employed. ASSURE connects both technology and educational media to implement learning. The instruments used for the stud’s pretest, posttest, and children’s assessment sheets, as well as material validation sheets, and media validation sheets. 30 kids from the Tunas Bangsa Kindergarten in Geger, Lamongan, served as the study’s subjects. Ways of gathering data in the form of questionnaires and observation. The result of the assessment by experts obtained a percentage of 92,5% from media experts, while material experts obtained a percentage of 92,5%. The results of product effectiveness determine the value of Asymp. Sig = 0,00 < = 0,05, then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there are differences before and after using AVO learning media in children’s English vocabulary abilities.
