Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dengan model problem based learning terhadap
keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dan untuk mengetahui
pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dengan model problem
based learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar.
Penelitian ini
dilakukan di SD Negeri Jatikalang 1 Krian, dengan subyek penelitian adalah
siswa kelas IV A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas IV B sebagai kelas
kontrol yang masing masing berjumlah 23 siswa. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan
adalah Quasi Experimental Research
dan desain penelitiannya adalah Pretest-Posttest
Control Group Design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian
keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa diperoleh nilai thitung (7.769)
> ttabel (2,015). Hasil tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa
terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas yang diberi
pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan model problem based learning dengan pembelajaran model diskusi. Sedangkan
untuk pengujian hasil belajar (posttest)
kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini
ditunjukkan dengan nilai thitung (4,882) > ttabel
(2,015) dan nilai mean pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 85,35 dan 70,26 untuk
kelas kontrol. Jadi terdapat pengaruh pendekatan saintifik dengan model problem based learning terhadap hasil
belajar siswa.
Berdasarkan
hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan saintifik
dengan model problem based learning
berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa
secara signifikan.

This study aims
to determine the effect of the scientific approach to the problem based
learning model on critical thinking skills of grade IV elementary school
students and to determine the effect of the scientific approach to the problem
based learning model on the learning outcomes of grade IV elementary school
students.
This study was conducted in SD
Negeri Jatikalang 1 Krian, with the research subjects being students of class
IV A as the experimental class and students in class IV B as the control class,
each of which amounted to 23 students. The type of research is Quasi
Experimental Research and the design of the research is Pretest-Posttest
Control Group Design. Based on the results of data analysis research students'
critical thinking skills obtained tcount (7.769)> t table (2.015). These
results can be stated that there are differences in critical thinking skills of
students between classes given learning using a scientific approach to the
problem based learning model with discussion model learning. While for testing
the experimental class (posttest) results higher than the control class. This
is indicated by the value of tcount (4.882)> t table (2.015) and the mean
value in the experimental class is 85.35 and 70.26 for the control class. So
there is the influence of the scientific approach to the problem based learning
model of student learning outcomes.
Based on the
results of data analysis it can be concluded that the use of the scientific
approach to the problem based learning model significantly influences critical
thinking skills and student learning outcomes.
