PENGEMBANGAN BUKU GAMBAR BERTEMA SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS PUISI KELAS VIII DI SMP/MTs

Abstrak
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pengembangan media buku gambar bertema dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Plus Himmatun Ayat Surabaya. Latar belakang penelitian ini karena keadaan rata-rata peserta didik yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami dan menulis teks puisi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan media buku gambar bertemadan mendeskripsikan kualitas media buku gambar bertema yang meliputi: kevalidan, keefektifan dan kepraktisan. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian dan model pengembangan milik Sadiman dkk. Data penelitian berupa deskripsi dari proses pengembangan media dan deskripsi dari kualitas media buku gambar bertema. Subjek uji coba dari penelitian dan pengembangan media ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Plus Himmatun Ayat Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini ada lima, yakni teknik angket kebutuhan peserta didik dan teknik wawancara, teknik validasi, teknik observasi/pengamatan, teknik tes, teknik angket respon peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada lima, yakni lembar angket kebutuhan peserta didik dan lembar wawancara, lembar validasi, lembar pengamatan aktivitas pendidik dan peserta didik, lembar angket respon peserta didik, dan lembar tes. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yakni teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Kelayakan media didasarkan pada hasil analisis yang sudah dilakukan, seperti kevalidan, keefektifan, dan kepraktisan produk. Kevalidan media yang didasarkan pada hasil validasi dari validator ahli mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 96,9% dan berkategori sangat baik/sangat layak. Keefektifan media yang didasarkan pada hasil belajar peserta didik, lembar pengamatan aktivitas pendidik, dan lembar pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 87,2% dan berkategori sangat baik/sangat layak. Sedangkan kepraktisan media yang didasarkan pada hasil respon peserta didik mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 87,1% dan berkategori sangat baik/sangat layak.

ABSTRACT
This research discussed about the development media of themed drawing book as a purpose in learning writing a poem in student class VIII of MTs Plus Himmatun Ayat Surabaya. The background of this research was because mostly students still difficult to understand and can't write a poem. This study used research plan and development model by Sadiman dkk. The research data is in the form of a description of the media development process and a description of the quality of the media themed picture book. The trial subject of this study and the development media was from students class VIII of MTs Plus Himmatun Ayat Surabaya. There are five data collection techniques in this study, namely the questionnaire technique of students' needs and interview techniques, validation techniques, observation / observation techniques, test techniques, student response questionnaire techniques. There are five instruments used in this study, namely the student's need questionnaire sheet and the interview sheet, the validation sheet, the teacher's and student's activity observation sheet, the student's response questionnaire sheet, and the test sheet. The data analysis technique in this study is a qualitative descriptive technique. The media properness was based on the result of analysis that had been done before, like the validation, the effectiveness, and the product practicality. The validity of the media based on the validation results from expert validators got an average value of 96.9% and was categorized as very good/very feasible. The effectiveness of media based on student learning outcomes, teacher activity observation sheets, and student activity observation sheets got an average value of 87.2% and was categorized as very good/very feasible. While the practicality of the media which is based on the results of the responses of students gets an average value of 87.1% and categorized as very good/very feasible.
