Pemanfaatan Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) sebagai Substitusi Agregat Kasar Pada Campuran Perkerasan Asphalt Concrete Binder Course (AC-BC)

Limbah beton merupakan material sisa yang sudah tidak terpakai dan dibiarkan menumpuk. Melihat kondisi limbah beton dari sisa pengujian yang dibiarkan secara percuma di pabrik beton, dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai material pengganti agregat alam sebagai bahan campuran dalam pembuatan perkerasan jalan. Memanfatkan limbah beton atau Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) merupakan inovasi baru yang dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif yang berkelanjutan.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik dari material seperti limbah beton, agregat alam, filler dan aspal serta untuk mengetahui karakteristik Marshall pada perkerasan AC-BC yang memanfaatkan limbah beton sebagai bahan substitusi agregat kasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode ekperimen di laboratorium dengan menggunakan acuan Spesifikasi Bina Marga Tahun 2018. Langkah awal dalam penelitian ini adalah menentukan nilai KAO dari kadar aspal 4,1%; 4,6%; 5,1%; 5,6%; 6,1%. Hasil yang didapat dari pengujian yaitu nilai KAO sebesar 6,1%, selanjutnya dibuat benda uji dengan variasi substitusi limbah beton 20%, 35% dan 55%. Hasil Uji Marshall untuk perkerasan AC-BC dengan memanfaatkan limbah beton sebagai bahan substitusi agregat kasar yang berpengaruh baik terhadap karakteristik Marshall adalah limbah beton dengan persentase 35%, yang memperoleh nilai stabilitas sebesar 821,04 kg,  flow sebesar 2,5 mm, VIM sebesar 4,90%, VMA sebesar 15,22%, VFA sebesar 67,81%, Marshall Quotient sebesar 335,12 kg/mm dan durabilitas sebesar 91,3%.

Concrete waste is unused material that is left to accumulate. Seeing the condition of the concrete waste from the remaining tests left useless in the concrete plant for free in concrete factories, it can be used as a replacement material for natural aggregate as a mixture in making road pavement. Utilizing concrete waste or Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) is an innovation that can be used as a sustainable alternative. This research aims to determine the characteristics of materials such as concrete waste, natural aggregates, fillers, and asphalt and to determine the Marshall characteristics of AC-BC pavements that utilize concrete waste as a coarse aggregate substitute. This research uses an experimental method in the laboratory using the 2018 Bina Marga Specification reference. The first step in this research is to determine the KAO value of asphalt content 4,1%; 4,6%; 5,1%; 5,6% and 6,1%. The results obtained from the test are the KAO value of 6.1%, then made test objects with variations in concrete waste substitution of 20%, 35%, and 55%. Marshall test results for AC-BC pavement by utilizing concrete waste as a coarse aggregate substitution material that has a good effect on Marshall characteristics is a concrete waste with a percentage of 35%, which obtained a stability value of 821,04 kg, flow of 2,5 mm, VIM of 4,90%, VMA of 15,22%, VFA of 67,81%, Marshall Quotient of 335,12 kg/mm and durability of 91,3%.
