Pengaruh Proporsi Ampas Kopi dan Rimpang Temulawak Terhadap Sifat Fisik dan Masa Simpan Body Scrub

Body Scrub/Peeling/luluran berfungsi mengangkat sel kulit tubuh yang kasar dan kusam. Scrub juga berfungsi membantu mempercepat pergantian sel kulit tubuh yang baru, yang lebih sehat dan bersih. Ampas kopi dengan tekstur kasar mengandung butiran scrub serta kandungan antioksidan dengan jumlah yang banyak sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai body scrub. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh proporsi ampas kopi dan rimpang temulawak terhadap sifat fisik meliputi aroma, warna, lama waktu menghilangkan scrub, perubahan pada kulit setelah diolesi produk body scrub, kelembapan pada kulit, masa simpan (uji mikrobiologi) dan kesukaan panelis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Variabel bebas penelitian ini adalah proporsi ampas kopi dan rimpang temulawak (2:3), (3:2), dan (4:1). Variabel terikat adalah sifat fisik meliputi aroma, warna, lama waktu menghilangkan scrub, perubahan kulit setelah diolesi produk body scrub, kelembapan pada kulit, masa simpan dan kesukaan panelis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi yang dilakukan oleh 50 panelis. Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians klarifikasi tunggal (anova tunggal) dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh proporsi ampas kopi dan rimpang temulawak terhadap sifat fisik meliputi aroma yang dihasilkan khas bunga melati, berwarna hitam kekuningan muda, adanya perubahan warna kulit setelah diolesi produk body scrub, kulit menjadi lebih lembab dan sampel X2 merupakan berbandingan ampas kopi dan rimpang temulawak yang menghasilkan body scrub yang paling baik dan disukai panelis. 2) bedasarkan uji mikrobiologi body scrub X2 memiliki masa simpan lebih dari 7 hari dengan jumlah cemaran bakteri dan jamur dibawah 10.

Body scrub/peeling/ scrub works to lift rough and dull body skin. Scrub also serves to help accelerate the replacement of new skin  cells, which are healthier and cleaner. Coffe pulp with a coarse texture contains scrub grains and antioxidant content in large quantities so that it can be used as a body scrub. this study aims to determine the effect of the proportion of coffe grounds and ginger rhizomes on physical properties including aroma, long time to remove scrubs, changes in the skin after being rubbed on a body scrub product, moisture on the skin, shelf life (microbiological test) and panelist preference. This type of research is experimental. The independent variable of this study was the proportion of coffee grounds and ginger rhizome (2:3), (3:2), and (4:1). Dependent variables are physical properties including aroma, color, length of time to remove scrubs, skin changes after being rubbed on a body scrub product, moisture on the skin, shelf life and panelist preferences. Data collection was carried out by the observation method carried out by 50 panelists. Data analysis using analysis of variance single clarification (single anova) and followed by Duncan's test using the SPSS program. The results showed that 1) there was an effect of the proportion of coffee grounds and ginger rhizome on physical properties including the aroma produced specifically jasmine flowers, light yellowish black, a change in skin color after being smeared with body scrub products, the skin becomes more moist and sample X2 is a comparison of coffee grounds and ginger rhizome which produces the best body scrub and is favored by panelists. 2) based on body scrub microbiology test X2 has a shelf life of more than 7 days with the amount of bacterial and fungal contamination below 10.
