The increasing use
of natural resources through mining industry activities will have consequences
in the form of impacts, both positive and negative. Mining in Tiron Village
experienced several problems, including mining business permits, compensation
money from the mining business that was not in accordance with what was in the
field, threatened environmental sustainability and road damage caused by
truckloads of andesite rock and embankment. The emergence of these various
impacts is an important reason for this research to be carried out because the
andesite and embankment mining areas are close to population mobility,
residential areas and tourist attractions that have the potential to increase
regional foreign exchange in the tourism sector.
The type of
research used is descriptive qualitative research with case study method. Data
collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews, and
documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data
presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The results show
that mining has both positive and negative impacts. In the social sector, there
is a positive influence related to business opportunities, employment in mining
and the negative influence is conflict between the community, village
officials, and mining parties. In the economic sector, there is a positive
influence related to changes in livelihoods and increased income for the
community around mining areas. In the environmental field, it causes problems
related to damaged roads, air pollution, reduced availability of groundwater,
land degradation, and leaving large puddles of excavated excavations that are
not reclaimed.
