THE EFFECT OF LEADER MEMBER EXCHANGE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE THROUGH JOB SATISFACTION IN PT. BERLIAN JASA TERMINAL INDONESIA.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan pengaruh leader member exchange terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui kepuasan kerja pada PT. Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kausal dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi 256 pegawai tetap dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan sampel 156 pegawai tetap. Analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan software AMOS 23.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa leader member exchange berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja hal tersebut disebabkan terdapat hubungan saling percaya antara atasan dan bawahan. Kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan disebabkan sistem dan gaji dianggap sudah sesuai standar perusahaan. Leader member exchange tidak berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan hal tersebut disebabkan penilaian kinerja sudah terstruktur oleh perusahaan. Kepuasan kerja tidak dapat menjadi variabel intervening antara leader member exchange dan kinerja karyawan disebabkan beban kerja yang tinggi.

This study aims to determine and explain the effect of leader member exchange on employee performance through job satisfaction at PT. Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia. This research is a type of causal research with a quantitative approach with a population of 256 permanent employees and the sampling technique uses probability sampling with a sample of 156 permanent employees. The statistical analysis used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS 23.0 software. The results of this study indicate that the leader member exchange has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction because there is a trusting relationship between superiors and subordinates. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance because the system and salaries are considered to be in accordance with company standards. Leader member exchange does not affect employee performance because the performance appraisal is structured by the company. Job satisfaction cannot be an intervening variable between leader member exchange and employee performance due to high workload.
