PENGGUNAAN DIKSI DAN GAYA BAHASA PADA LIRIK LAGU DALAM ALBUM DISASTER EVOLUTION PHASE KARYA ANDY LAU

The Use of Diction and Language Style in Song Lyrics in Andy Lau's Disaster Evolution Phase Album

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan penggunaan diksi dan gaya bahasa yang terkandung di dalamnya. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini ialah: yaitu 1) Bagaimana diksi yang terdapat dalam album Disaster Evolution Phase?, 2)Bagaimana gaya bahasa yang terdapat dalam album Disaster Evolution Phase ?, 3)  Bagaimana faktor penyebab terbentuknya diksi dalam album Disaster Evolution Phase?, 4) Bagaimana faktor penyebab terbentuknya gaya bahasa dalam album Disaster Evolution Phase?

Penelitian ini berdasarkan teori gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat dan diksi menurut Keraf. Gaya bahasa berdasarkan struktur kalimat menurut keraf yaitu meliputi: klimaks, antiklimaks, paralelisme, antitesis, dan repetisi. Sedangkan diksi menurut keraf meliputi: denotasi, konotasi, kata abstrak, kata konkrit, kata umum, kata khusus, kata ilmiah, kata populer, kata asing, kata serapan.

                Penggunaan metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu jenis penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu dan kalimat yang mengandung diksi dan gaya bahasa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak dan ketik.

                Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: 1) diksi yang digunakan adalah denotatif, konotatif, kata umum, kata popular dan kata ilimiah; 2) gaya bahasa yang digunakan adalah klimaks, paralelisme, antitesis dan repetisi; 3) faktor penyebab terbentuknya diksi denotatif karena mengandung makna yang sebenarnya, konotatif mengacu pada makna kias, kata umum mengacu pada cakupan ruang lingkup luas dan tidak spesifik, kata populer mengacu pada kata-kata yang digunakan semua lapisan masyarakat, kata ilmiah mengacu pada kata yang digunakan oleh kaum terpelajar; 4) faktor penyebab terbentuknya gaya bahasa klimaks karena bersifat periodik, paralelisme karena terdapat kesejajaran kata, antitesis karena mengandung gagasan yang bertentangan, repetisi karena mengandung pengulangan kata didalamnya. Adapun diksi yang mendominasi adalah kata umum, sedangkan gaya bahasa yang mendominasi adalah repetisi. 

This study aims to explain the use of diction and language style contained therein. The formulation of the problem of this research are: 1) How is the diction contained in the album Disaster Evolution Phase ?, 2) What is the style of language contained in the album Disaster Evolution Phase?, 3) How are the factors causing the formation of diction in the Disaster Evolution Phase album ?, 4 ) How are the factors that cause the formation of language in the album Disaster Evolution Phase?

This research is based on language style theory based on sentence structure and diction according to Keraf. Language style based on sentence structure according to keraf which includes: climax, anticlimax, parallelism, antithesis, and repetition. While diction according to keraf includes: denotation, connotation, abstract word, concrete word, general word, special word, scientific word, popular word, foreign word, absorption word.

The use of the method in this research is qualitative research. Research data in the form of words contained in song lyrics and sentences containing diction and language style. Data collection techniques using listening and typing techniques.

The results of the study are as follows: 1) diction used is denotative, connotative, common words, popular words and scientific words; 2) the style of language used is climax, parallelism, antithesis and repetition; 3) the factors that cause the formation of denotative diction because it contains the actual meaning, connotative refers to the meaning of kias, the general word refers to the broad scope of scope and is not specific, the popular word refers to the words used by all levels of society, the scientific word refers to the word used by scholars; 4) the factors that cause the formation of climax language style because it is periodic, parallelism because there is word alignment, antithesis because it contains conflicting ideas, repetition because it contains repetition of words in it. The diction that dominates is the common word, while the language style that dominates is repetition.
