Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan e- magazine IPA model inkuiri berbasis socioscientific issues untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pre experimental yaitu one group pretest posttest design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan terhadap 32 siswa kelas VIII F, VIII G, dan VIII H SMP Negeri 1 Pamekasan.. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan validasi, observasi, dan tes. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dilihat dari skor n-gain yang diperoleh dari hasil pretest dan posttest. Skor n-gain yang diperoleh pada kelas VIII F, VIII G, dan VIII H SMP Negeri 1 Pamekasan secara keseluruhan dengan kriteria sedang. Teknik analisis data untuk mengetahui adanya signifikansi peningkatan berpikir kritis menggunakan paired sample t- test. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan 0,000 (0,05) sehingga H0 ditolak yang artinya terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas VIII F, VIII G, dan VIII H secara signifikan setelah kegiatan pembelajaran. Hasil dari pengembangan dalam penelitian ini adalah silabus, RPP, LKPD, tes berpikir kritis, dan e-magazine tentang materi zat aditif dan adiktif. E-magazine disimpan dalam format pdf. Data validasi menunjukkan jika perangkat pembelajaran keseluruhan memenuhi kriteria layak untuk digunakan, dan pembelajaran dikatakan praktis dengan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang terlaksana dengan baik pada kelas VIII F, VIII G, dan VIII H. Efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran inkuiri berbasis socioscientific issues ditinjau dari hasil tes berpikir kritis yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kelas VIII F, VIII G, dan VIII H dan respon siswa kelas VIII F, VIII G, dan VIII H menunjukkan hasil respon yang sangat baik terhadap pembelajaran IPA dan e-magazine.

This study aimed to obtained validity, practicality, and effectiveness of an inquiry used science e-magazine based on socioscientific issues to improved the critical thinking skill of the students of junir high school.. The development of this study used ADDIE development model, namely analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study used pre experimental design namely one group pretest posttest design in VIII F, VIII G, and VIII H class of Junior High School 1 Pamekasan.. The data collection technique used validation, observation, and test. The critical thinking skill of the student was seen from the n-gain which was obtained from the pretest and posttest result. The n-gain score which was obtained in VIII F, VIII G, and VIII H class of Junior High School 1 Pamekasan with medium criteria. The data analysis technique to find out the significance of the increasing critical thinking using paired sample t-test. The result of the hypothesis test shown 0,000 (<0,05) so H0 was rejected, means that there was significant increasing of critical thinking skill of VIII F, VIII G, and VIII H students after the learning activity. The result of the development in this study was a syllabus, lesson plan, student worksheet, critical thinking test, and e-magazine about additive and addictive materials. E-magazine was saved in pdf format. The validation data shown that the overall learning tools meet the criteria that was proper to use, and the learning was said to be practical with implemented of learning that was carried out well in class VIIIF, VIII G, and VIII H. The effectiveness of inquiry learning tools based on socioscientific issues was seen from the results of the critical thinking test conducted. Showed a significant increase in class VIII F, VIII G, and VIII H and the responses of class VIII F, VIII G, and VIII H students showed very good responses to science learning and e-magazines.
