Assessment Transisi Latihan dan Pola Makan Atlet Sebelum dan Saat Ramadan di Masa Pandemi COVID-19
Exercise and Dietary Habit of Athletes Before and During Ramadan in the Pandemic of COVID-19
Pada tahun 2020, bulan ramadan menjadi lebih berbeda dari tahun sebelumnya dengan adanya wabah virus Covid-19 yang telah menyebar secara luas di berbagai negara termasuk di Indonesia. Pandemi ini berdampak di berbagai aspek kehidupan termasuk pada waktu latihan, pola makan, adaptasi kebiasaan baru, dan terutama pada pengimplementasian kebijakan pembatasan sosial skala besar untuk meminimalisir penyebaran virus yang lebih besar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi transisi latihan dan pola makan atlet bola voli sebelum dan saat ramadan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif komparatif dengan sampel 12 atlet laki-laki bola voli junior yang masih aktif dalam menjalani pemusatan latihan di Akademi Bola Voli Indomaret Sidoarjo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar frekuensi latihan atlet mengalami penurunan saat ramadan khususnya di masa pandemi, dan 83% atlet latihan di pagi hari saat sebelum ramadan, serta saat ramadan di masa pandemi 75% atlet cenderung memilih untuk latihan di pagi dan sore hari. Selanjutnya, saat ramadan dan Covid-19 terjadi peningkatan konsumsi makanan berkarbohidrat pada malam hari yaitu sebesar 75% dan konsumsi gorengan sebesar 66,7%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa terjadi transisi waktu, frekuensi latihan serta pola makan atlet sebelum dan saat ramadan di masa pandemi Covid-19.
In 2020, the month of Ramadan will be more different from the previous year with the Covid-19 virus outbreak that has spread widely in various countries including Indonesia. This pandemic has an impact on various aspects of life including training time, dietary habit, adaptation of new habits, and especially the implementation of large-scale social distancing policies to minimize the spread of a larger virus. The purpose of this study was to identify the transition to training and dietary patterns of volleyball athletes before and during Ramadan during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design used is descriptive comparative with a sample of 12 junior volleyball male athletes who are still active in undergoing training camps at the Volleyball Academy Indomaret Sidoarjo. The results showed that most of the athletes' training frequency decreased during Ramadan, especially in the pandemic, and 83% of athletes trained in the morning before Ramadan, and during Ramadan in the pandemic of covid-19 75% of athletes tended to choose to exercise in the morning and evening. Furthermore, during ramadan and Covid-19 there was an increase in the consumption of fried and carbohydrate foods at night. Based on this, it was concluded that there was a transition in time, training frequency and athlete's diet habit among athlete before and during Ramadan during the Covid-19 pandemic.
