REPRESENTASI TOKOH IBU TIRI DALAM KUMPULAN DONGENG KARYA BRÜDER GRIMM: KAJIAN LEVI-STRAUSS

REPRESENTATION OF STEPMOTHERS IN BRÜDER GRIMM'S STORY COLLECTIONS: LEVI-STRAUSS STUDY

Sastra merupakan salah satu unsur yang selalu ada dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dongeng sebagai salah satu bentuk karya sastra bersifat fiktif dan menghibur mengandung banyak ajaran moral di dalamnya. Brüder Grimm dalam buku kumpulan dongengnya yang berjudul Die Kinder- und Hausmärchen, mengumpulkan beberapa dongeng yang bertemakan Ibu Tiri. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Dongeng Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein, Die weiße und die schwarze Braut, dan Die drei Männlein im Walde sebagai sumber data. Fokus penelitian pada penelitian ini ada empat yakni bagaimana mitem, episode, oposisi biner dan representasi tokoh ibu tiri dalam kumpulkan dongeng karya Brüder Grimm. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan sebagai berikut: (1) mitem pada (a) dongeng Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein terdiri atas dua puluh dua mitem, (b) dongeng Die weiße und die schwarze Braut terdiri atas dua puluh lima mitem, dan (c) dongeng Die drei Männlein im Walde terdiri atas tiga puluh mitem. (2) episode pada (a) dongeng Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein terdiri atas enam episode, (b) dongeng Die weiße und die schwarze Braut terdiri atas lima episode, dan (c) dongeng Die drei Männlein im Walde terdiri atas enam episod. (3) oposisi biner pada (a) dongeng Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein yaitu: normal >< abnormal, kebaikan >< keburukan, mencurigai >< dicurigai, usaha >< imbalan, kebahagiaan >< kemalangan. (b) dongeng Die weiße und die schwarze Braut yaitu: kebaikan >< keburukan, kutukan >< berkat, kebahagiaan >< keburukan dan (c) dongeng Die drei Männlein im Walde yaitu: kebaikan >< keburukan, berkat >< kutukan,  raja >< ratu, kebahagiaan >< kemalangan. (4) Representasi tokoh ibu tiri digambarkan sebagai tokoh yang  jahat dan berperilaku buruk kepada putri tirinya. Faktor yang mendasari perlakukan tokoh ibu tiri ini adalah iri hati akan apa yang dimiliki oleh tokoh putri tiri.

Literature is one of the elements that always exist in everyday life. Fairy tales, as a form of fictional and entertaining literary work, contain many moral teachings. Brother Grimm in his collection of fairy tales entitled Die Kinder- und Hausmärchen, collects several fairy tales with the theme of the Stepmother. In this study, researchers used Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein, Die weiße und die schwarze Braut, and Die drei Männlein im Walde as data sources. There are four research focuses in this study, namely how mitem, episodes, binary oppositions, and the representation of the stepmother character in the collection of fairy tales by Brother Grimm. Based on the results of the study, the following were found: (1) the mitem of (a) the fairy tales of Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein consist of twenty-two mitem, (b) the fairy tales of Die weiße und die schwarze Braut consist of twenty-five mitem, and (c) the fairy tales Die drei Männlein im Walde consists of thirty mitem. (2) the episodes of (a) Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein’s fairy tale consists of six episodes, (b) Die weiße und die schwarze Braut's fairy tale consists of five episodes, and (c) Die drei Männlein im Walde's fairy tale consists of six episodes. (3) binary opposition to (a) the tales of Einäuglein, Zweiäuglein und Dreiäuglein, namely: normal >< abnormal, good >< bad, suspicious >< suspected, effort >< reward, happiness >< misfortune. (b) Die weiße und die schwarze Braut's fairy tale, namely: good >< bad, curse >< blessing, happiness >< bad and (c) Die drei Männlein im Walde's fairy tale, namely: good >< bad, blessing >< curse, king > < queen, happiness >< misfortune. (4) The representation of the stepmother character is depicted as a character who is evil and misbehaves to her stepdaughter. The factor that underlies the treatment of the stepmother character is jealousy of what the stepdaughter character has.
