LUKISAN MAKE UP IDEALISM KARYA JOKO PRAMONO: ANALISIS SIMBOL-SIMBOL VISUAL MENURUT TEORI KEPRIBADIAN CARL GUSTAV JUNG

MAKE UP IDEALISM PAINTING BY JOKO PRAMONO: ANALYSIS OF VISUAL SYMBOL'S ACCORDING TO CARL GUSTAV JUNG'S THEORY OF PERSONALITY

    Peneliti tertarik dengan lukisan yang bertemakan wanita karena ingin mengetahui alasan para pelukis yang menggambarkan objek wanita dalam karyanya. Pelukis yang pernah menggambarkan objek wanita dalam karya, salah satunya yaitu Joko Pramono. Penelitian ini meliputi karakteristik karya lukis Joko Pramono yang bertema wanita, perwujudan karya lukis Joko Pramono yang berjudul Make up Idealism, serta analisis simbol-simbol visual karya Joko Pramono yang berjudul Make up Idealism jika ditinjau dari teori kepribadian Carl Gustav Jung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pendekatan metode ini digunakan karena dapat mempermudah dalam pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan wawancara. Peneliti mengolah data dianalisis menggunakan teori kepribadian Carl Gustav Jung dengan pedoman buku dari Murray Stein yang berjudul Jung’s Map of The Soul. Ada lima karya Joko Pramono yang dianalisis untuk mengetahui karakteristik secara menyeluruh tentang simbol wanita, serta fokus utama berupa karya yang berjudul Make up Idealism dengan menganalisis simbol-simbol visual menggunakan teori kepribadian Carl Gustav Jung. Kesimpulannya, Joko Pramono menggunakan figur wanita sebagai sosok yang memberikan keadilan karena sebagai pengingat dan menyindir terhadap konflik yang terjadi pada zaman saat ini. Wanita sebagai sosok yang dapat membuat masyarakat bercermin terhadap diri sendiri ataupun sebagai sosok pelindung dunia.

    Researchers were interested in women-themed paintings because they wanted to find out why painters depicted female objects in theirwork. Painters who have depicted female objects in the work, one of which is Joko Pramono. This research includes characteristic by Joko Pramono painting themed women, embodiment of Joko Pramono's painting entitled Make up Idealism, as well as analysis of visual symbols by Joko Pramono entitled Make up Idealism when viewed from the personality theory of Carl Gustav Jung. This research uses descriptive methods with a qualitative approach. This method approach is used because it can facilitate in the collection of data in the form of observations and interviews. Researchers processed the data analyzed using Carl Gustav Jung's personality theory with a guidebook from Murray Stein entitled Jung's Map of The Soul. The results and discussion of this study include five works by Joko Pramono that were analyzed to find out the characteristics thoroughly about the woman symbol, as well as the focus of the work entitled Make up Idealism by analyzing visual symbols using the personality theory of Carl Gustav Jung. The conclusion of this study is that Joko Pramono uses female figures as a figure who provides justice because it is a reminder and insinuates against conflicts that occur in today's times. Women as a figure who can make society reflect on themselves or as a protective figure of the world.
