Menanggapi fenomena dekadensi moral khususnya kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab siswa yang selalu menjadi hambatan dalam mengukuhkan karakter bangsa Indonesia, pemerintah Indonesia yang mulanya melalui program PPK (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter) kemudian melalui kementrian pendidikan memformulasikan Pelajar Indonesia cocok dengan profil pelajar Pancasila karena mereka adalah pembelajar sepanjang hayat yang berkompeten, berbudi luhur, dan berpegang teguh pada cita-cita Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji apa bentuk peran yang dilakukan orang tua dan guru dan bagaimana bentuk kolaborasi orang tua dan guru dalam menerapkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab pada siswa kelas VIII di MtsN 1 Lamongan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori pendidikan 4N Ki Hajar Dewantara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Menggunakan data melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Dengan analisis data Data Miles dan Huberman (pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, danpenarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) Bentuk peran yang dilakukan orang tua dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter siswa kelas VIII di MtsN 1 Lamongan. Bahwa (a) Parara orang tua agar anak terbiasa disiplin dan bertanggung jawab atas apa yang telah dilakukan dan disepakati keputusan bersama. Secara tidak sadar mereka melihat (Nontoni) dan mengamati (Niteni) apa yang dilakukan orang tuanya. Kemudian menirukan (Niroake) apa yang dilakukan orang tuanya melalui pembiasaan mereka lihat tersebut. Kemudian mereka akan mengaplikasikan dalam kesehariannya dan mampu menambahkan (Nambahi) karakter atau tingkah laku lain yang telah di ajarkan orang tuanya selama di rumah. (b) melakukan sistem hukuman. (2) Bentuk peran yang dilakukan guru dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter siswa kelas VIII di MtsN 1 Lamongan. Bahwa (a) Mengintegrasikan pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran dan dicantumkan dalam RPP dan Silabus, (b) Berperan Menjadi Role Model di Sekolah dengan (Mencohtohkan, Tauladan, Menyadarkan) Siswa. (c) Berperan memberikan Bentuk hukuman terhadap pelanggaran-pelanggaran yang dilakukan siswa. serta (3) Bentuk kolaborasi dilakukan orang tua dan guru dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter siswa kelas VIII di MtsN 1 Lamongan yaitu melalui Paguyuban Orang Tua Siswa (POS) yang didalamnya terjalin sebuah pertemuan dan pelatihan dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa.

Responding to the phenomenon of moral decadence, especially discipline and student responsibility which has always been an obstacle in strengthening the character of the Indonesian nation, the Indonesian government, initially through the PPK (Strengthening Character Education) program and then through the ministry of education, formulated Indonesian students suitable for the profile of Pancasila students because they are lifelong learners. who are competent, virtuous, and adhere to the ideals of Pancasila. This study aims to examine what forms of role are played by parents and teachers and how parents and teachers collaborate in implementing the character of discipline and responsibility in class VIII students at MtsN 1 Lamongan. The theory used in this research is Ki Hajar Dewantara 4N educational theory. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Using data through observation, interviews, and documentation. By analyzing Data Miles and Huberman data (data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show (1) The role played by parents in implementing character education for class VIII students at MtsN 1 Lamongan. Whereas (a) Parara parents so that children get used to being disciplined and responsible for what has been done and agreed on a joint decision. Subconsciously they see (Nontoni) and observe (Niteni) what their parents are doing. Then imitating (Niroake) what his parents did through their habit of seeing it. Then they will apply it in their daily lives and be able to add (add) other characters or behaviors that have been taught by their parents while at home. (b) implementing a punishment system. (2) The form of the role played by the teacher in implementing character education for class VIII students at MtsN 1 Lamongan. That (a) Integrate character education in learning and include it in the RPP and Syllabus, (b) Play a role as a Role Model in Schools by (modelling, setting an example, awakening) students. (c) play a role in providing forms of punishment for violations committed by students. and (3) the form of collaboration carried out by parents and teachers in implementing character education for class VIII students at MtsN 1 Lamongan, namely through the Association of Student Parents (POS) in which a meeting and training is established in implementing character education of discipline and student responsibility.
