IDENTIFIKASI PROFIL KONSEPSI SISWA SMA NEGERI 1 TANJUNGANOM NGANJUK PADA MATERI TEORI KINETIK GAS MENGGUNAKAN THREE-TIER DIAGNOSTIC TEST

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan profil konsepsi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk pada materi teori kinetik gas menggunakan three-tier diagnostic test. Konsepsi merupakan kemampuan memahami konsep baik yang diperoleh melalui interaksi dengan lingkungan maupun konsep yang diperoleh dari pendidikan formal. Konsepsi dalam penelitian ini meliputi kategori paham konsep (PK), tidak paham konsep (TPK), kurang paham konsep (KPK), miskonsepsi (MK), dan menebak (MN). Metode penelitian yang dipakai yaitu menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif serta menggunakan instrumen three-tier diagnostic test pada materi teori kinetik gas untuk mendeskripsikan konsepsi siswa. Setelah populasi siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk dinyatakan terdistribusi normal dan homogen berdasarkan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, sehingga sampel dapat ditentukan menggunakan purposive sampling meliputi kelas XI-MIA 1, XI-MIA 2, dan XI-MIA 3. Hasil identifikasi konsepsi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Tanjunganom memperoleh hasil bahwa konsepsi siswa pada kategori paham konsep sebesar 29,39%, tidak paham konsep sebesar 3,48%, kurang paham konsep sebesar 0,49%, miskonsepsi sebesar 64,58%, dan menebak sebesar 2,09%. Persentase penyebab terjadinya miskonsepsi yaitu pada prakonsepsi sebesar 22,92%, alasan yang salah sebesar 31,28%, pemikiran humanistik sebesar 23,77%, dan false negative sebesar 22,03%.

IDENTIFICATION STUDENTS CONCEPTION PROFILE OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 1 TANJUNGANOM NGANJUK IN GAS KINETIC THEORY TOPIC USING THREE-TIER DIAGNOSTIC TEST

This study aims to describe the conception profile of the students of Senior High School 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk in the theory of gas kinetic using the three-tier diagnostic test. Conception is the ability to understand good the concepts obtained through interaction with the environment and concepts obtained from formal education. The conception in this study included the category of understanding the concept (PK), not understanding the concept (TPK), lack of understanding of the concept (KPK), misconception (MK), and guessing (MN). The research method used is descriptive quantitative method and uses a three-tier diagnostic test instrument on the kinetic gas theory material to describe student conceptions. After the population of class XI of Senior High School 1 Tanjunganom Nganjuk was stated to be normally distributed and homogeneous based on normality and homogeneity tests, so that samples could be determined using purposive sampling covering classes XI-MIA 1, XI-MIA 2, and XI-MIA 3. Identification results conception of students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjunganom obtained results that the conceptions of students in the conceptual understanding category amounted to 29,39%, did not understand the concept of 3,48%, lacked conceptual understanding of 0,49%, misconceptions were 64,58%, and guessed at 2,09%. The percentage of causes of misconceptions, namely pre-conceptions of 22,92%, wrong reasons of 31,28%, humanistic thinking of 23,77%, and false negatives of 22,03%.
