EFEKTIVITAS EKSTRAKURIKULER TARI TRADISIONAL TERHADAP PENGUATAN EFIKASI DIRI DAN KOMPETENSI SOSIAL SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TRADITIONAL DANCE EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES ON STRENGTHENING SELF-EFFICACY AND SOCIAL COMPETENCE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterlaksanaan, efektivitas, pengaruh, serta respon guru dan siswa terhadap kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tari tradisional dalam meningkatkan efikasi diri dan kompetensi sosial siswa sekolah dasar. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SDN 1 Pisang Patianworo, Nganjuk, yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler tari tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode mix-method dengan desain pretest-posttest serta dilengkapi dengan data kualitatif melalui angket dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner skala efikasi diri, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan, dan angket respon guru serta siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan program ekstrakurikuler tari tradisional berjalan baik dan sesuai perencanaan. Program ini efektif meningkatkan efikasi diri siswa, yang ditunjukkan melalui perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kepercayaan diri, keberanian mengambil keputusan, serta kemampuan siswa mengatasi kecemasan dalam tampil di depan umum. Respon guru dan siswa juga sangat positif, dengan penekanan pada pengembangan kompetensi sosial seperti disiplin, kerja sama, dan komunikasi. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan, yaitu hanya dilakukan pada satu sekolah, durasi yang relatif singkat, dan belum menelaah faktor eksternal maupun aspek perkembangan siswa yang lebih luas. Dengan demikian, disarankan agar penelitian lanjutan dilakukan pada konteks sekolah yang lebih beragam, durasi lebih panjang, serta mencakup variabel tambahan untuk memperkaya hasil temuan.

This study aims to analyze the implementation, effectiveness, influence, and responses of teachers and students toward traditional dance extracurricular activities in enhancing self-efficacy and social competence among elementary school students. The research subjects were students of SDN 1 Pisang Patianworo, Nganjuk, who participated in traditional dance extracurricular activities. This study employed a mixed-method approach with a pretest-posttest design, complemented by qualitative data collected through questionnaires and interviews. The instruments used included a self-efficacy scale questionnaire, an implementation observation sheet, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the implementation of the traditional dance extracurricular program ran well and according to plan. The program was effective in improving students’ self-efficacy, as evidenced by significant differences between pretest and posttest results. In addition, the activity had a positive impact on increasing students’ confidence, decision-making courage, and ability to overcome anxiety when performing in public. Both teachers and students responded very positively, emphasizing the development of social competencies such as discipline, cooperation, and communication. However, this study has several limitations, including being conducted in only one school, having a relatively short duration, and not examining external factors or broader aspects of student development. Therefore, it is recommended that future research be carried out in more diverse school settings, with a longer duration and additional variables to enrich the findings.
