DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL GAME LEARNING MEDIA TO IMPROVE STUDENTS CRITICAL THINKING
ABILITIES ON USER INTERFACE DESIGN
PRINCIPLES OF MATERIAL AT SMK NEGERI 3 SURABAYA
According
to observations on the learning process at SMK Negeri 3 Surabaya, Multimedia
class XII, learning interactive media design is not really guided by theory,
but this subject only focuses on the products produced. and right. As a result,
students are less able to implement user
interface design principles into the products they create. The aim of this
learning is to be able to analyze user
interface design principles and create interactive multimedia according to
the design principles.
This
development research uses the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of five
stages including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.
Based
on the validation results from material experts, they got 80%, and media
experts got 85%. Then the results of individual trials were 88%, the results of
small group trials were 93% and field trials were 88%. So it can be concluded
that the interactive multimedia developed is suitable for use with good and
very good results on the Likert scale criteria.
Based on the results of field trials using one
group pretest postest design, t test results obtained sig 0.001 > 0.05.
Where this means ho is rejected and ha is accepted. There was an increase in
students critical thinking abilities after being given treatment in the form
of digital game learning media. The
pretest and postest scores show an average pretest score of 57.08 and
post-test of 64.39, which means there has been an increase in students critical thinking abilities. This proves that the learning media developed is
effective as a learning media that can be used independently to improve
critical thinking skills on user
interface design principles.
