Pengembangan LKPD Skimming dan Scanning pada Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Siswa Kelas VI Sekolah Dasar
Development of Skimming and Scanning LKPD on Reading Comprehension Skills of Grade VI Elementary School Students
Pemahaman merupakan aspek penting dalam kegiatan membaca, namun dalam praktiknya masih banyak siswa yang kesulitan memahami isi bacaan dengan efektif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan bahan ajar yang dapat melatih siswa memahami isi bacaan secara tepat, cepat dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) skimming dan scanning pada keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas VI Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar yang terlibat dalam uji coba terbatas, dan uji lapangan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket validasi materi, desain, dan bahasa, angket respon oleh guru dan siswa, serta pretest dan postest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitif yang dilakukan pada analisis kebutuhan, analisis kevalidan, analisis kepraktisan, dan analisis keefektifan produk. Hasil validasi produk menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan mendapat skor rata-rata 90,50% dari para ahli dengan kriteria sangat valid. Hasil kepraktisan produk mendapatkan skor rata-rata 95,50% dari guru dan siswa dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil keefektifan produk sebesar 88,50% siswa menyatakan LKPD skimming dan scanning efektif membantu membaca pemahaman. Nilai n-gain menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata 0.36 pada kriteria sedang. Dan hasil uji coba non parametrik wilcoxon signed test sebesar 0.003 yang menunjukkan peningkatan skor signifikan. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD skimming dan scanning dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar pendukung pengembangan literasi membaca siswa kelas VI sekolah dasar, khususnya pada keterampilan membaca pemahaman.
Understanding is an important aspect in reading activities, but in practice there are still many students who have difficulty understanding the contents of the reading effectively. Therefore, teaching materials are needed that can train students to understand the contents of the reading accurately, quickly and efficiently. This study aimed to develop skimming and scanning student worksheets (LKPD) on the reading comprehension skills of grade VI Elementary School students. This study used the ADDIE development model which includes the stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. With the research subjects of grade VI elementary school students involved in limited trials, and field tests. And the research instruments used were material, design, and language validation questionnaires, response questionnaires by teachers and students, pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive which was carried out on needs analysis, validity analysis, practicality analysis, and product effectiveness analysis. The results of product validation showed that the LKPD developed received an average score of 90.50% from experts with very valid criteria. The results of product practicality received an average score of 95.50% from teachers and students with very practical criteria. The results of the effectiveness of the product were 88.50% of students stated that skimming and scanning LKPD were effective in helping reading comprehension. The n-gain value showed an average increase of 0.36 in the moderate criteria. And the results of the non-parametric wilcoxon signed test trial were
0.003 which showed a significant increase in scores. So, it can be concluded that skimming and scanning LKPD can be used as an alternative teaching material to support the development of reading literacy for grade VI elementary school students, especially in reading comprehension skills.
