Kajian Migrasi Internasional Di Kecamatan Jambon Kabupaten Ponorogo
THE STUDY OF INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION IN JAMBON SUBDISTRICT PONOROGO REGENCY
Abstrak
Kecamatan Jambon Kabupaten Ponorogo merupakan Kecamatan yang memiliki jumlah penempatan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) sebanyak 462 orang pada tahun 2022, dengan 76,84% atau 355 orang memilih negara Taiwan dan Hongkong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Faktor pendorong apa yang menyebabkan penduduk di Kecamatan Jambon Kabupaten Ponorogo memilih bekerja sebagai PMI 2) Faktor penarik apa yang menyebabkan penduduk di Kecamatan Jambon Kabupaten Ponorogo memilih negara Taiwan dan Hongkong sebagai tempat tujuan migrasi 3) Faktor yang mempengaruhi besarnya remitan yang dikirimkan oleh PMI untuk keluarganya yang ada di Kecamatan Jambon.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penduduk Kecamatan Jambon yang keluarganya bekerja sebagai PMI dengan tujuan Taiwan dan Hongkong tahun 2022, berjumlah 355 orang. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 80 sampel dengan menggunakan simple random sampling dan penghitungan besaran sampel menggunakan rumus Slovin. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif (dalam bentuk prosentase) dari hasil Chi-Square.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, faktor pendorong yang paling berpengaruh terhadap penduduk Kecamatan Jambon bekerja menjadi PMI adalah karena faktor ekonomi, sebanyak 72 orang atau 90,0%. Faktor penarik yang berpengaruh terhadap penduduk Kecamatan Jambon memilih negara Taiwan dan Hongkong karena dipengaruhi oleh faktor pendapatan dan jenis pekerjaan. Hasil perhitungan Chi-Square diketahui bahwa p < α, (0,001 < 0,05) untuk faktor pendapatan, serta p < α, (0,00 < 0,05) untuk faktor jenis pekerjaan di negara tujuan. Faktor besarnya pengiriman remitan PMI kepada keluarga di daerah asal adalah faktor pendapatan, hasil perhitungan Chi-Square diketahui bahwa p < α, (0,007 < 0,05).

Abstract
Jambon Subdistrict in Ponorogo Regency is a subdistrict that had a placement of 462 Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in the year 2022, with 76.84% or 355 individuals choosing Taiwan and Hong Kong. This research aims to determine: 1) What driving factors lead the population in the Jambon Subdistrict of Ponorogo Regency to choose to work as PMI; 2) What pulling factors lead the population in the Jambon Subdistrict of Ponorogo Regency to choose Taiwan and Hong Kong as their migration destination; 3) Factors influencing the amount of remittances sent by PMI to their families in the Jambon Subdistrict.
This research is a survey with a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study consists of residents of the Jambon Subdistrict whose families work as PMI with Taiwan and Hong Kong as their destination in 2022, totaling 355 people. The sample size used is 80 samples, determined by simple random sampling, and calculated using the Slovin formula. Data collection involves interviews and documentation, while the data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive (in the form of percentages) through the Chi-Square test.
Based on the results of this research, the most influential driving factor for the residents of the Jambon Subdistrict to work as PMI is economic factors, with 72 people or 90.0%. The pulling factor influencing the residents of the Jambon Subdistrict to choose Taiwan and Hong Kong is influenced by income and job type. The Chi-Square calculation results show that p < α, (0.001 < 0.05) for income factors, and p < α, (0.00 < 0.05) for the type of job factor in the destination country. The factor determining the amount of remittances sent by PMI to their families in the hometown is the income factor, with the Chi-Square calculation results showing that p < α, (0.007 < 0.05).
