Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan model Collaborative Learning, peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa, aktivitas siswa, dan respon siswa dari hasil penerapan model Collaborative Learning materi sistem organisasi kehidupan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Pre-experimental. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu kelas perlakuan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest and Postest Design. Waktu pelaksanaan penelitian yaitu tanggal 29 April-3 Mei 2019. Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII L SMPN 19 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang diperoleh yaitu 1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran memperoleh modus skor 4 dengan kategori sangat baik; 2) aktivitas siswa memiliki kriteria sangat baik pada aspek mengamati, mengumpulkan data, dan mengasosiasi, kriteria baik pada aspek menanya, dan kriteia cukup pada aspek mengkomunikasikan; 3) respon siswa positif dengan rata-rata sebesar 86% dengan kriteria sangat baik; 4) pemahaman konsep siswa dari hasil analisis diperoleh data berdistribusi normal, hasil uji t berpasangan menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan, dan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,4. Ketuntasan KKM pada pretest yaitu keseluruhan siswa tidak tuntas, sementara pada posttest yaitu sebanyak 8 siswa tuntas, dan sebanyak 22 siswa tidak tuntas. Hasil penerapan diperoleh simpulan bahwa pembelajaran model collaborative learning materi sistem organisasi kehidupan pada kelas VII L SMPN 19 Surabaya dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa.

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Collaborative Learning model, increase the understanding of student concepts, student activities, and student responses from the results of applying the Collaborative Learning model to organizational systems of life. The type of research used in this study was Pre-experimental. This study uses one treatment class. The design used is One Group Pretest and Postest Design. The time for conducting the research is April 29-May 3 2019. The research objective is the VII L class students of SMPN 19 Surabaya. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique is descriptive quantitative. The data obtained are 1) the implementation of learning gets a score mode 4 with a very good category; 2) the activities of students have very good criteria in the aspects of observing, collecting data, and associating, criteria both on the questioning aspect, and the criteria are sufficient on the communicating aspect; 3) positive student responses with an average of 86% with very good criteria; 4) understanding the concept of students from the results of the analysis obtained data that are normally distributed, the results of paired t tests show significant differences, and the average N-Gain is 0.4. KKM completeness at pretest, that is, all students were not completed, while in posttest there were 8 students completed, and as many as 22 students did not complete. The results of the application obtained conclusions that learning collaborative learning models of organizational systems of life in class VII L of SMP 19 Surabaya can improve students' understanding of concepts.
