Program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan karakter yang baik pada peserta didik dengan lima nilai utama yaitu religius, nasionalis, mandiri, gotong royong dan integritas. Penguatan nilai karakter integritas bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Jombang menjadi fokus dalam penelitian ini. Tujuannya ialah mendeskripsikan proses penguatan nilai karakter integritas bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Jombang yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan hingga evaluasi penguatan.
Jenis penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan observasi non partisipan, serta dilengkapi dengan dokumentasi. SMP Negeri 1 Jombang menjadi lokasi penelitian, dan perangkat SMP Negeri 1 Jombang serta beberapa peserta didik menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini. Teknik analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi/menarik kesimpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan nilai karakter integritas bagi peserta didik di SMP Negeri 1 Jombang dilakukan melalui: (1) Perencanaan yang meliputi pembentukan tim pengembang budi pekerti dan pembiasaan, identifikasi berbagai potensi yang dimiliki oleh disekolah dan menyusun kegiatan sekolah yang sesuai dengan potensi yang dimiliki; (2) Pelaksanaan yang meliputi empat langkah yaitu melalui kegiatan pembiasaan, melalui pembelajaran di kelas, melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dan melalui keteladanan dari bapak dan ibu guru; (3) Evaluasi penguatan nilai karakter integritas dilakukan dalam bentuk diskusi kecil, terdiri atas wali kelas, waka kesiswaan dan kerjasama dengan BK. Evaluasi dilakukan dalam rapat bersama pengurus sekolah dan dilakukan kapan saja apabila di sekolah ada temuan pelanggaran nilai karakter.

The Character Education Strengthening Program aims to develop good character in students with five main values, namely religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation and integrity. Strengthening the value of character integrity in students at SMP Negeri 1 Jombang is the focus of this research. The aim is to describe the process of strengthening the character integrity value in students in SMP Negeri 1 Jombang which includes planning, implementation and strengthening evaluation.
This type of research is qualitative with case study design. Data was collected using in-depth interviewing techniques and non-participant observation, and was equipped with documentation. Jombang Middle School 1 became the location of the study, and the SMP Negeri 1 Jombang equipment and several students were the subjects in this study. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification / drawing conclusions.
The results of the study show that strengthening the character integrity value for students in SMP Negeri 1 Jombang is done through (1) Planning that includes the formation of a team of character development and habituation, identification of the various potentials possessed by the school, and arrange school activities that are in accordance with their potential; (2) Implementation that includes four steps, namely through habituation activities, through classroom learning, through extracurricular activities and through example from the teacher's father and mother; (3) Evaluation of strengthening integrity character values is carried out in the form of small discussions, consisting of homeroom teacher, student affairs and cooperation with counseling guidance. Evaluations are carried out in meetings with school administrators and carried out at any time if there are findings in violations of character values at school.
