Berdasarkan observasi awal yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, hasil belajar siswa jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan di SMK Ketintang Surabaya tahun ajaran 2020-2021 belum seluruhnya mencapai hasil yang optimal sesuai dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) berdasarkan kurikulum K-13 Revisi sebesar 65. Selain itu, pembelajaran yang berlangsung masih berbentuk ceramah (lecturing). Pola pembelajaran seperti ini memiliki efektivitas pembelajaran yang rendah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan media pembelajaran berupa prototype smarthome berbasis voice recognition agar pengaplikasian ilmu pada mata pelajaran Pengembangan Produk Kreatif sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi sekarang serta diperlukan suatu model pembelajaran yang mampu menumbuhkan dan mengembangkan berpikir tingkat tinggi dalam situasi-situasi berorientasi masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) memperoleh informasi tentang perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model problem based learning berbantuan Trainer Smart Home berbasis Voice Recognition dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan MPL; (2) memperoleh informasi tentang perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki tingkat berpikir kritis siswa yang tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki tingkat berpikir kritis yang rendah; (3) memperoleh informasi tentang interaksi antara penggunaan model problem based learning berbantuan Trainer Smart Home berbasis Voice Recognition dan tingkat berpikir kritis siswa.
Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan desain faktorial 2x2. Makalah komprehensif ini mendeskripsikan 3 (tiga) langkah awal dari tahapan penelitian tesis. Tahap studi pendahuluan mengumpulkan data-data awal peneliti melalui observasi dan wawancara tentang media prototype yang digunakan dalam mata pelajaran Pengembangan Produk Kreatif di SMK Ketintang Surabaya. Selanjutnya tahap desain produk yakni merancang dan membuat trainer smarthome berbasis voice recognition, dan membuat instrumen penelitian. Based on initial observations made by researchers, the learning achievement of students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering at SMK Ketintang Surabaya for the academic year 2020-2021 has not entirely achieved optimal results in accordance with the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) based on the revised K-13 curriculum, the ongoing learning is still in the form of lecturing. This learning pattern has low learning effectiveness. To overcome these problems, learning media is needed in the form of a prototype Smart Home based on voice recognition so that the application of knowledge in Creative Product Development subjects is in accordance with current technological developments and a learning model is needed that is able to grow and develop high-level thinking in problem-oriented situations. This study aims to: (1) obtain information about differences in learning outcomes between students who study using model problem-based learning assisted by a trainer Smart Home based on Voice Recognition and students who learn to use MPL; (2) obtain information about differences in learning outcomes between students who have a high level of critical thinking and students who have a low level of critical thinking; (3) obtain information about the interaction between the use of models problem-based learning assisted by trainers Smart Home based on Voice Recognition and students' critical thinking levels.
This research is quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) with a quantitative approach and using a 2x2 factorial design. This comprehensive paper describes the first 3 (three) steps of the thesis research stage. The preliminary study stage collects the researchers' initial data through observations and interviews about the prototype media used in the subject of Creative Product Development at SMK Ketintang Surabaya. The next stage of product design is to design and create a voice recognition-based Smart Home trainer and create research instruments. Then it ends with a validation and revision stage by experts
