Efforts to understand conflict,
managing conflict are quite a lot of energy contained in sports, one of which
is mentioned as a means of peace. On this basis, the value of peace-loving
needs to be introduced, understood and applied from an early age through
sports, especially in learning Physical Education, Sports and Health in schools
that have been able to manage various conflicts that occur in schools and in
the community. The objectives of this study are (1). Designing a model for the
development of the value development of peace-loving character education
through playing activities in the form of traditional sports for students, (2).
Obtaining the effectiveness of a model for developing the value development of
peace-loving character education through play activities in the form of
traditional sports for students (3). Developing practical models for the
development of the value development of peace-loving character education
through traditional games and sports activities for students (4). To analyze
the validity of the development model for the development of the value of
peace-loving character education through game activities in the form of
traditional sports for third grade elementary school students at SDN Kebraon I
and II Surabaya.
This research method is a
research development approach with three stages. It is necessary to know that this
research method uses quantitative and qualitative research approaches and a
significance analysis of 0.05%.
The results of this study
were about the development of the value of peace loving from thirteen
traditional games and instruments that were validated by experts. For the small
group trial the average was 95.76%, the average group trial result was 97.03%,
the large group trial result averaged 96.60%. Qualitative data with an
interactive model, the results obtained were that students were able to practice
all traditional games, were able to recognize, understand and apply the values
of peace-loving, especially the practice of tolerance, respect, openness, and
care and cooperation. The students know and understand and practice the value
of peace loving for each game in learning Physical Education for Sports and
Health.
The conclusions of the
study are (1). The development of a peace-loving model through traditional
games in the learning of Physical Education for Sports and Health at the
Elementary School level, especially SDN Kebraon I and II can be practiced and
implemented properly. (2). The development of a peace-loving model through traditional
games in learning Physical Education for Sports and Health at SDN Kebraon I and
II Surabaya based on quantitative analysis with the t test, gave significant
results (0.000 <0.05). (3). The development of a peace-loving model through
traditional games in learning Physical Education for Sports and Health at SDN
Kebraon I and II Surabaya based on qualitative analysis with an interactive
model has a positive impact with changes in students' peace-loving attitudes as
evidenced by the practice of peace-loving through traditional games that are
repeated over and over, within a certain time, and design-based development of
a love of peace. Meanwhile, the development of a peace-loving model through
traditional games at SDN Kebraon I and II has seen changes in the dimensions of
tolerance, respect, cooperation and honesty of students.
