DESIGNING A SIGN SYSTEM FOR THE GELORA BUNG TOMO STADIUM SURABAYA

Abstrak

Kota Surabaya dikenal sebagai Kota yang serius dalam menciptakan ruang publik bagi masyarakatnya, Salah satu ruang publik yang lagi ramai di kunjungi adalah Stadion Gelora Bung Tomo Surabaya yang merupakan salah satu kebanggan masyarakat kota Surabaya dan menjadi stadion terbesar se-Jawa Timur saat ini. Tak ayal jika Stadion ini akan digunakan dalam pagelaran piala dunia U-21 pada tahun 2021 mendatang, namun hal itu tak didukung dengan infrastruktur stadion yang memadai dalam hal ini kurang nya sign system di dalam stadion yang tak jarang membuat pengunjung ataupun official tim kebingungan saat berada di dalam stadion, sehingga dengan adanya perancangan sign system ini dapat memberikan kenyamanan dan kemudahan informasi bagi para pengunjung saat berada di dalam stadion, serta turut serta membantu pemerintah mensukseskan penyelesaian infrastruktur stadion menyongsong gelaran Piala Dunia U-21 pada tahun depan, dan hasil dari pada perancangan sign system ini berupa proposal rancang bangun sign system yang dapat digunakan oleh Pemerintah Kota Surabaya sebagai bahan acuan perancangan untuk bisa diterapkan pada Stadion Gelora Bung Tomo Surabaya.

Abstract

Surabaya City is known as a City that is serious in creating public spaces for its people, One of the more crowded public spaces to visit is the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya which is one of the pride of the people of Surabaya and is the largest stadium in East Java today. No doubt if this stadium will be used in the U-21 world cup performance in 2021, but it is not supported by adequate stadium infrastructure in this case the lack of a sign system in the stadium which often makes visitors or team officials confused while in the stadium, so that with the design of this sign system can provide comfort and ease of information for visitors while in the stadium, as well as helping the government succeed in completing the stadium infrastructure to we lcome the U-21 World Cup event next year, and the results of the design of the sign system in the form of a sign system design proposal that can be used by the Surabaya City Government as a reference for the design can be applied to the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya.
