Creativity
is one of the essential skills that must be developed in education, especially
in facing the challenges of the 21st century. One learning method that can
enhance students' creativity is Project-Based Learning (PJBL ),
which focuses on completing real-world projects through collaboration and
problem-solving. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the
implementation of the PJBL method and students' creativity levels in the
Hizbul Wathan extracurricular activities at MI Muhammadiyah 03 Pucakwangi,
Babat District.
This research employs a quantitative approach
with a correlational method. The population of this study consists of all
students participating in the Hizbul Wathan extracurricular activities,
totaling 34 students from grades 5 and 6. The sample was selected using total
sampling, meaning the entire population was included in the study. Data were
collected using a questionnaire measuring the implementation of PJBL and
students' creativity levels.
The data analysis involved validity tests,
reliability tests, normality tests, linearity tests, and Pearson Product Moment
correlation to determine the relationship between the two variables. The
analysis results indicate a strong and significant relationship between the
implementation of the PJBL method and students' creativity levels. The
correlation coefficient obtained was r = 0.830, with a significance p-value of
0.000 (<0.01), suggesting that the more effectively PJBL is
implemented, the higher the students' creativity in Hizbul Wathan
extracurricular activities. These findings suggest that a project-based
approach provides a deeper learning experience, enhances creative thinking
skills, and encourages students to actively explore new ideas. I t can be concluded that the PJBL
method is an effective learning approach for enhancing students' creativity,
particularly in skill-based and leadership-oriented extracurricular activities
such as Hizbul Wathan.
