Circular flounce adalah salah satu jenis dari manipulating fabric flounce, yaitu sebuah tambahan pada busana yang memberikan efek gelombang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil jadi circular flounce menggunakan kain chiffon polyester dan chiffon sutra pada rok pias delapan ditinjau dari aspek jatuhnya flounce, bentuk flounce, dan gelombang flounce (2) untuk mengetahui hasil jadi circular flounce yang terbaik.

Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian komparatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi pada 30 observer yang divalidasi menggunakan metode expert judgement. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji T dengan bantuan SPSS 25.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil jadi circular flounce pada rok pias delapan dengan kain chiffon polyester dan chiffon sutra ditinjau dari aspek bentuk flounce dan gelombang flounce, tetapi tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan ditinjau dari aspek jatuhnya flounce (2) hasil jadi circular flounce pada rok pias delapan paling baik dilihat dari ketiga aspek adalah menggunakan kain chiffon polyester yang memiliki nilai mean tertinggi dengan nilai 3,64 sedangkan pada kain chiffon sutra dengan nilai 1,42.  Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil jadi circular flounce dengan dua jenis kain chiffon tersebut terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan.

Circular flounce is a type of manipulating fabric flounce that is an additive that gives a sleek wave effect. The purpose of this study are (1) to determine the difference result of circular flounce using polyester chiffon fabric and silk chiffon fabric on the eigth gored skirt  in aspect of flounce fall, flounce shape, and flounce wave (2) for know the best result of the finished circular flounce.

The research method in this research is quantitative research with comparative research type. Techniques of data collection using an observation sheet instrument at 30 observer that has been validated by the expert judgment method. The data analysis technique was using T test with SPSS 25.

The result of this study show that (1) there is a significant difference between the result of the finished circular flounce on the eight gored skirt with polyester chiffon fabric and silk chiffon in the aspect of flounce shape and flounce wave, while there is no significant difference in the aspect of flounce fall (2) the best finished circular flounce on the  eight gored skirt  viewed from the three aspects using a polyester chiffon fabric which has the highest mean value with a value of 3.64 while on a silk chiffon fabric with a value of 1.42. It can be concluded that the results of the circular flounce with these two types of chiffon have significant differences.
