VIOLATION OF POLITENESS PRINCIPLES IN STAND UP COMEDY SHOW 欢乐喜剧人《huānlè xǐjù rén》
Language enables humans to carry out social activities to interact with the environment to convey ideas. When carrying out language activities, communicators and communicants are faced with language rules. In community lingual interactions, language values and norms should be obeyed by speech participants. However, in certain speech events, such as the settings of humor, violations of the politeness principle in speech are accepted. This study aims to describe the form of speech that violates the principles of politeness and politeness scale indicators in the Stand-Up Comedy 《huānlè xǐjù rén》 season 7 in episodes 1 and 2. This study obtained 82 data on violations of politeness principles and politeness scale. This research is qualitative research because the data obtained are in the form of words, phrases, or sentences. The method used is the descriptive qualitative method, namely describing speech that violates the principle of politeness and politeness scale. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques through the stages: collecting, reducing, validating, describing, and drawing data conclusions. Then the following results were obtained: 1) forms of violation of the politeness principle, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of humility, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of praise. 2) The results of the violation of the politeness scale are, the profit and loss scale, the choice scale, the indirectness scale, the authority scale, and the social distance scale. The biggest form of violation of the principle of politeness is the maxim of praise. And most politeness scale indicators are violated on the indirectness scale, this is because the form of violation of the maxim of praise tends to make the speech direct.
