Air yang dikonsumsi manusia harus memenuhi syarat fisik dan kimia. Standart mutu air minum ditetapkan berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 tentang persyaratan kualitas air minum. Sebagian masyarakat mengeluhkan air dari sumur dangkal kondisinya kurang baik. Dibuktikan apabila digunakan mandi dan mencuci, sabun dan detergen yang digunakan sulit mengeluarkan busa. Sebagian masyarakat belum memahami layak atau tidak air sumur dangkal tersebut untuk dikonsumsi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui kualitas air sumur dangkal sebagai sumber air minum di Desa Sawohan berdasarkan persyaratan air minum menurut Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia.
Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian survey. Teknik pengambilan sampel air sumur dangkal menggunakan Stratified Random Sampling. Menggunakan metode systematic grid untuk penentuan lokasi sumur yang digunakan sampel penelitian. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh sumur dangkal ada di Desa Sawohan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu empat sampel air sumur dangkal. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dan deskriptif komparatif yakni membandingkan antara hasil uji laboratorium dengan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia No. 492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sampel satu yang tidak memenuhi syarat yakni Jumlah Zat Padat Terlarut dan Warna. Sampel dua yang tidak memenuhi syarat yakni jumlah zat padat terlarut, kesadahan, mangan, khlorida, dan amonia. Sampel tiga yang tidak memenuhi syarat yakni jumlah zat padat terlarut, warna, kesadahan, khlorida, mangan. Sampel empat yang tidak memenuhi syarat yakni warna, jumlah zat padat terlarut, mangan, khlorida. Faktor penyebab tidak memenuhi syarat air sumur dangkal di lokasi penelitian disebabkan faktor lingkungan, geologi dan jenis tanah lokasi penelitian.

This research is a type of survey research. The technique of sampling shallow wells using Stratified Random Sampling. In addition, it uses a systematic grid method for determining the location of wells used in the study sample. The population of this research is that all shallow wells in Sawohan Village. The sample in this study is 4 samples of shallow well water. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive and descriptive comparative which compares the results of laboratory tests with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 492 / MENKES / PER / IV / 2010.
The results showed that one sample that did not meet the requirements was the Amount of Dissolved Solids and Colors. The two samples that did not meet the requirements were Amount of Dissolved Solids, Hardness, Manganese, Chloride and Ammonia. Samples three that do not meet the requirements are Amount of Dissolved Solids, Color, Hardness, Chloride, Manganese. The fourth sample that did not meet the requirements are Color, Amount of Dissolved Solids, Manganese, Chloride. The causal factors is not fulfilling the requirements of shallow well water at the study site due to environmental factors, geology and the type of soil of the research location.
