EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM LATIHAN TEKNIK GAYA BEBAS PADA ATLET RENANG KU-V CATALINA SWIMMING CLUB SURABAYA
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF FREESTYLE TECHNIQUE TRAINING PROGRAM IN KU-V CATALINA SWIMMING CLUB SURABAYA ATHLETES
Teknik dasar dalam sebuah cabang olahraga merupakan komponen fundamental bagi atlet. Dalam cabang olahraga renang, peningkatan perfoma atlet renang dapat dilakukan dengan penerapan progam latihan teknik dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk evaluasi efektivitas progam latihan dan evaluasi kualitas teknik gaya bebas pada atlet renang KU-V Catalina Swimming Club Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan action research dengan memberikan treatment progam latihan teknik gaya bebas pada atlet renang. 4 atlet pada KU-V yang tergabung dalam Catalina Swimming Club Surabaya berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Penelitian dilakukan 2 bulan dengan indikator peningkatan kecepatan pada jarak 10 meter,15 meter,25 meter dan 50 meter. Indikator dalam evaluasi kualitas teknik dilihat berdasarkan body postion, leg, arms, breathing dan timing. Penelitian ini di olah dengan uji statistic deskriftif untuk menjelaskan hasil yang diperoleh.
Hasil penelitiannya adalah : (1) Hasil dari latihan 50 meter renang di ukur dari aspek kecepatan (a) Rata-rata prestasi gaya bebas jarak 10 meter meningkat sebesar, dari 8 menit 51 detik menjadi 7 menit 38 detik (b) Rata-rata prestasi gaya bebas jarak 15 meter meningkat sebesar, dari 14 menit 34 detik menjadi 13 menit 13 detik. (c) Rata-rata prestasi gaya bebas jarak 25 meter meningkat sebesar, dari 25 menit 32 detik menjadi 23 menit 18 detik. (d) Rata-rata prestasi gaya bebas jarak 50 meter meningkat sebesar, dari 53 menit 52 detik menjadi 47 menit 53 detik. (2) Kualitas teknik setelah diberikan program, meliputi : (a) Kualitas posisi tubuh secara keseluruhan meliputi: posisi kepala terhadap air, posisi kepala saat nafas, putaran bahu, putaran pinggul, posisi kaki terhadap air, dan gerakan sisi badan menunjukan peningkatan cukup signifikan. (b) Kualitas gerakan kaki secara keseluruhan meliputi: gerakan 6 lecutan kaki, gerakan 4 lecutan kaki, gerakan 4 lecutan kaki, gerakan pergelangan kaki, dan gerakan kaki kupu menunjukan peningkatan yang signifikan.(c) Kualitas gerakan lengan secara keseluruhan meliputi: posisi lengan saat masuk permukaan, fase menangkap, fase menarik, fase dorongan dan akselerasi tangan, menunjukan peningkatan yang signifikan.(d) Kualitas gerakan pernafasan menunjukan kemajuan yang signifikan.
Basic technique in a sport is a fundamental component for athletes. In swimming, the performance of swimming athletes can be done improve by applying basic technique training programmes. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programme and asses the quality of crowl technique in swimming athletes of KU-V Catalina Swimming Club Surabaya. This study uses an action research approach by providing crowl technique training programme treatment for swimming athletes. 4 athletes in KU-V who are members of Catalina Swimming Club Surabaya participated of this study. The study was conducted for 2 months with indicators of speed increase at distances of 10 metres, 15 metres, 25 metres and 50 metres. Indicators in the evaluation of technical quality are seen based on body position, legs, arms, breathing and timing. This research is processed with descriptive statistical tests to explain the results obtained.
The results of the study are: (1) The results of the 50-meter swimming exercise were measured from the aspect of speed (a) The average freestyle performance of the 10-meter distance increased by as much, from 8 minutes 51 seconds to 7 minutes 38 seconds (b) The average freestyle performance of the 15 meters increased by a lot, from 14 minutes 34 seconds to 13 minutes 13 seconds. (c) The average freestyle performance of 25 meters increased by 25 minutes 32 seconds to 23 minutes 18 seconds. (d) The average 50-meter freestyle performance increased by 53 minutes 52 seconds to 47 minutes 53 seconds. (2) The quality of techniques after being given the program, including: (a) The overall quality of body position includes: head position with water, head position during breath, shoulder rotation, hip rotation, foot position with water, and side body movement shows significant improvement. (b) The overall quality of foot movements including: 6 foot abrasions, 4 foot abrasions, 4 foot abrasions, ankle movements, and butterfly foot movements showed significant improvement. (c) The overall quality of arm movements including: arm position on surface, capture phase, pulling phase, hand push and acceleration phase, shows significant improvement. (d) The quality of breathing movements shows significant progress.
