Abstract
Dril dance in the langen tayub art as a legacy that
has
been passed down from generation to generation must be preserved as well as developed in order to be an attraction in the area and become a reference in regional art.The purpose of this study was to identify 1) the form of facial make-up,
hair styling, clothing and dril dance
accessories in the Langen Tayub performance in the Pasirian district of Lumajang Regency, and 2) the
meaning of the
traditional makeup of the Dril dance in Langen Tayub in the Pasirian Lumajang District.This research method
is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using the
triangulation method, which includes 1) interviews,
2)
observation,
and 3)
documentation. The results showed that the face makeup or
waranggono tandak has a picture
as
a
characteristic reflects the
graceful
Javanese women. Waranggono is a term for female tayub dancers commonly known as tandak while stewardess is a term for male tayub dancers. Hairdressing or tandak hairstyle wearing Javanese sunggul
and
Ukel Konde bun. Clothing worn by
female tayub dancers is Javanese Jarik kuwung, kebaya as body covering, kemben or mekak as a cloth covering the chest, stagen, toso and rope, sling or sampur,
Sandal or
footwear. Accessories
worn
by women's tayub
dancers are roses,
earrings,
brooches, necklaces, bracelets and rings. The
makeup of a flight attendant or male dancer has natural and authoritative features of Javanese men. The clothing worn by flight attendants or male tayub dancers is basofi, a Javanese traditional finger, pants, shoes, Blangkon. Dril dance which is contained in Langen Tayub in Pasirian Sub-district, Lumajang Regency means as a form of gratitude for the people of Lumajang, especially for the products that have been.
