This
research aims to: 1) Describe the process of developing media for Compiling
Sentences Asyik (SUKA ASYIK) to improve the writing ability of grade 2
elementary school students. 2) Producing quality (Validity and Practicality) of
learning media for Composing Fun Sentences (SUKA ASYIK) to improve the writing
ability of 2nd grade elementary school students. 3) And produce Fun Sentence
Composition media (SUKA ASYIK) to improve the writing ability of 2nd grade
elementary school students effectively.
The
theories used in this study are learning media theory and writing skills
theory. Learning media theory emphasizes the selection and use of appropriate
media to achieve learning goals. While the theory of writing skills emphasizes
students' ability to structure sentences, develop paragraphs, and pour ideas in
writing.
The
research method used is development research with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design,
Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. The subject of the study is 2nd
grade elementary school students. The data collection techniques used are
interviews, observations, tests, and questionnaires. The data obtained were
analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner.
The
results of the study show that: 1) The development of SUKA ASYIK digital
learning media was developed by applying the ADDIE development model. 2) The
SUKA ASYIK digital learning media developed was declared valid by media experts
and subject matter experts with a validity percentage of 90% and 98%
("very valid" category), and 3) SUKA ASYIK digital learning media is
effective in improving the writing skills of grade 2 elementary school
students. This is evidenced by the results of the pre-test and post-test which
showed a significant increase, with an N-Gain value of 0.70 (the
"high" category).
Thus, SUKA ASYIK digital learning media can be
used as an effective alternative learning media to improve the writing skills
of grade 2 elementary school students.
