Performance of Ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran in Ruwat Tradition at Jolotundo Temple and Waterfall Mojokerto Regency

Mojokerto terkenal dengan sejarah kekuasaan kerajaan Majapahit. Latar belakang tersebut menjadikan beragamnya tradisi pada masyarakat Mojokerto. Situs terkenal yang menarik yakni candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo yang berada di Dukuh Balekambang, Desa Seloliman, Kecamatan Trawas. Pada situs tersebut terdapat tradisi ruwat yang menggunakan ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran yang juga merupakan ujub populer digunakan dalam ritual oleh komunitas budaya seJawa-Bali. Berlandaskan ketertarikan akan ujub tersebut, peneliti ingin mengupas lebih dalam mengenai performansi yang dimiliki oleh ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran. Berharap dapat menemukan pola yang nantinya dapat diwariskan kepada anak cucu sebagai salah satu upaya pelestarian budaya Jawa. Berpijak pada teori antropolinguistik Duranti, penelitian ini berfokus pada (1) performansi konteks ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran dalam tradisi ruwat candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo, (2) performansi ko-teks ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran dalam tradisi ruwat candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo, dan (3) performansi struktur ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran dalam tradisi ruwat candi dan petirtaan Jolotundo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang hasil pembahasannya disuguhkan berupa tulisan deskripsi. Dalam memperoleh data peneliti melakukan wawancara dan mengolah data tersebut dengan teknik analisis induktif berdasarkan fakta-fakta kecil terkait ujub yang kemudian menghasilkan rumusan berupa formula ujub. Penelitian ini menghasilkan performansi konteks berupa waktu, tempat, dan cara penggunaan teks di dalam ujubnya. Juga menemukan performansi ko-teks berupa penekanan suara, tinggi rendahnya suara, dan gerak isyarat tukang ujub. Terakhir yaitu menemukan performansi struktur berupa struktur mikro, superstruktur, dan makro.

Mojokerto is famous for the Majapahit Kingdom as its history. This background makes the various traditions of the Mojokerto society. An interesting famous site is the Jolotundo Temple and Waterfall which is located in Balekambang Hamlet, Seloliman Village, Trawas District. At that site there is a ruwat tradition that uses the ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran which is also a popular ujub used in rituals by the Javanese-Bali cultural community. Based on the interest in the ujub, the researcher wants to explore more deeply about the performance possessed by the ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran. Hoping to find a pattern that can later be passed on to posterity as an effort to preserve Javanese culture. Based on Duranti's anthropolinguistic theory, this research focuses on (1) the context performance of the ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran in the ruwat tradition of the Jolotundo temple and waterfall, (2) the co-text performance of the ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran in the ruwat tradition of the Jolotundo temple and waterfall, and (3) the structure performance of the ujub Sesaji Sangkan Paran in the ruwat tradition of the Jolotundo temple and waterfall. This research uses a qualitative method in which the results of the discussion are presented in the form of descriptive writing. In obtaining the data, the researcher conducted interviews and processed the data using inductive analysis techniques based on small facts related to ujub which produce in the form of a ujub formula. This study resulted in contextual performance in the form of situaton, culture, social, and ideology. Also found the performance of co-text in the form of emphasis on voice, high and low voice, and gestures of the interpreter. The last is find the performance of the structure in the form of macro structure, superstructure, and micro.
