Pembelajaran geografi hendaknya didukung dengan media pembelajaran yang mampu memberikan gambaran materi secara langsung. Seorang guru geografi harus mampu memberikan gambaran atau situasi secara nyata, representatif, dan realistik atas materi geografi yang diajarkan. Tujuan menggunakan media sebagai sumber belajar maupun alat bantu dalam proses komunikasi, diharapkan kegiatan pembelajaran lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengembangkan media maket 3D intrusi magma pada materi vulkanisme mata kuliah geologi umum Jurusan Pendidikan Geografi Universitas Negeri Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model Borg and Gall, yang terdiri dari 10 tahapan, mulai dari Pendahuluan (Analisis Kebutuhan), Pengumpulan Data, Pengembangan Produk (Pembuatan media maket tiga dimensi (3D), Validasi ahli (validasi ahli media dan materi), Revisi produk, Uji Coba Skala Kecil, Revisi Produk, Tahap Diseminasi dan Implementasi Hasil Akhir Media Maket Tiga Dimensi (3D) pada materi intrusi magma. Tingkat kelayakan media didasarkan atas penilaian dari ahli media pembelajaran dan materi menggunakan lembar validasi ahli dan uji skala kecil.
Teknik analisis data kelayakan media menggunakan skala likert 5 kategori diadopsi dari Ridwan. Penilaian mahasiswa dianalisis menggunakan skala likert 5 kategori yang di adopsi dariSugiyono. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa media maket 3D mendapat penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli media pembelajaran dengan rerata nilai 4,42 dan dari ahli materi mendapat 4,00. Berdasarkan skala Likert keduanya termasuk dalam kategori “sangat baik ”. Para mahasiswa memberikan respon “sangat baik” terhadap media maket 3D pada materi intrusi magma dengan rerata sebesar 84,66%.

Geography should be taught by learning media to provide a direct description. A geography teacher must be able to give a real, representative, and realistic description or situation of the geographic material being taught. The purpose of using media as a learning resource and a tool in the communication process are expected to be more effective. This study aims to 1) develop 3D magma intrusion media in the material of volcanism in general geology courses at the Department of Geography Education, State University.
This is research development (R & D) research using the Borg and Gall model, which consists of 10 stages, starting from the Introduction (Needs Analysis), Data Collection, Product Development (Making three-dimensional (3D) model media, expert Validation (validating media experts and material), Product Revision, Small Scale Trial, Product Revision, Stage of Dissemination and Implementation of Final Results of 3D Media on magma intrusion material. The level of media feasibility is based on the assessment of learning media experts and materials using expert validation sheets and small scale test.
The media feasibility data were analyzed using a Likert scale 5 categories adopted from Ridwan. Assessment of students was analyzed using a Likert scale 5 categories adopted from Sugiyono.
The results of the study stated that the 3D maket media received a feasibility assessment by instructional media experts with a mean value of 4.42 and from the material experts got 4.00. Based on the Likert scale both are included in the "very good" category. The students gave a "very good" response to the 3D maket media on magma intrusion material with an average of 84.66%.
