Exploration Of Elementary School Geometry Concepts In Multicultural Architecture Of Auliya Sentono Gedong Kediri Mosque
Tujuan dari adanya penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi arsitektur multikultural masjid Auliya Sentono Gedong Kediri untuk dicari konsep geometri di SD dan mengetahui persepsi guru terhadap hasil eksplorasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif jenis transformatif yang menggunakan multiparadigma yakni postmodernism, interpretivism, dan criticalism. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan writing critical auto│etnography, writing as inquiry, postmodern interview, kajian dokumen dan kepustakaan. Hasilnya terdapat konsep geometri SD pada arsitektur multikultural Masjid Auliya Sentono Gedong Kediri seperti bangun datar, bangun ruang, sudut, garis, simetri lipat dan simetri putar. Menurut persepsi guru, hasil penemuan konsep geometri SD ini dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber pembelajaran Matematika berbasis pendidikan multikultural dengan konteks arsitektur Masjid Auliya Sentono Gedong. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah siswa semakin mudah memahami pembelajaran karena menggunakan media konkret sekaligus bersemangat mempelajari keberagaman budaya yang ada di Indonesia sehingga pembelajaran lebih bermakna.

The purpose of this research is to explore the multicultural architecture of Auliya Sentono Gedong Kediri Mosque to find elementary school geometry concepts and find out the teacher’s perception of the exploration results. This research is a qualitative type of transformative research using multiparadigms, namely postmodernism, interpretivism, and criticalism. Data collection techniques used are writing critical auto│etnography, writing as inquiry, postmodern interview, document review and literature. The results show that there is elementary school geometry in the multicultural architecture of Auliya Sentono Gedong Kediri Mosque such as 2-D and 3-D shapes, angles, lines, and symmetries. According to the teachers’ perception, the finding can be used as a source of mathematics learning based on multicultural education with the architectural context of Auliya Sentono Gedong Mosque. The implication of this study is that students can more easily to understand mathematics learning because it uses concrete media while at the same time they can be empowered to learn the diversity of cultures in Indonesia so that learning Mathematics can be more meaningful.
