STUDI PEMANFAATAN LABORATORIUM DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA DI MTs NEGERI 4 SURABAYA
STUDY OF LABORATORY UTILIZATION IN SCIENCE LEARNING IN MTs NEGERI 4 SURABAYA
Pembelajaran harus mempunyai prasarana, terhitung ruang laboratorium guna mendukung proses pendidikan yang tertib serta berkepanjangan. Menurut Permendiknas No. 24 Tahun 2007 dan Permendikbud No. 8 Tahun 2018, keberadaan laboratorium IPA di sekolah menengah diperlukan, hal ini sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Pembelajaran. Studi pemanfaatan laboratorium ini mampu mengetahui pengelolaan, standardisasi laboratorium, dan kesesuaian aktivitas laboratorium di MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan studi pemanfaatan laboratorium dalam pembelajaran IPA di MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 responden yang merupakan siswa MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan yakni lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan datanya terdiri dari metode observasi, metode wawancara, metode angket, dan dokumentasi. Cara analisis data yang pertama yakni dengan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, teknik analisis data menggunakan skala guttman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ruang laboratorium IPA MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya sudah sesuai standar dengan kategori layak, alat laboratorium fisika sesuai standar dengan kategori cukup layak dan alat laboratorium biologi sesuai standar dengan kategori layak. Pengelolaan laboratorium IPA MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya sudah baik ditinjau dari segi administrasi dan perawatan alat. Respon siswa terhadap aktivitas laboratorium IPA juga menunjukkan hasil positif.

Learning must have infrastructure, including laboratory space to support an orderly and continuous educational process. According to Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007 and Permendikbud No. 8 of 2018, the existence of a science laboratory in secondary schools is required, this is in accordance with the National Learning Standards. This laboratory utilization study was able to find out the management, laboratory standardization, and suitability of laboratory activities at MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. This study aims to describe the study of the use of laboratories in learning science at MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with 32 respondents as subjects who were students of MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya. The instruments used were observation sheets, interview sheets, questionnaires and documentation. Data collection techniques consist of observation methods, interview methods, questionnaire methods, and documentation. The first method of data analysis is by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Data analysis techniques use the Guttman scale. The results showed that the science laboratory room at MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya was in accordance with the standards in the feasible category, the physics laboratory equipment was in accordance with the standards in the moderately feasible category and the biology laboratory equipment was in accordance with the standards in the feasible category. The management of the science laboratory at MTs Negeri 4 Surabaya has been good in terms of administration and equipment maintenance. Student responses to science laboratory activities also showed positive results.
