Polygamy in the Novel Of Dua Barista By Najhaty Sharma (Kurt Lewin's Study Of Literary Psychology)

Tujuan penelitian ini (1) mendeskripsikan konflik batin tokoh akibat poligami pada novel Dua Barista karya Najhaty Sharma. (2) mendeskripsikan upaya tokoh mengatasi konflik batin akibat poligami pada novel Dua Barista karya Najhaty Sharma. Kajian teori yang digunakan untuk mengetahui konflik batin tokoh menggunakan teori psikologi sastra Kurt Lewin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan psikologi. Data yang digunakan berupa unit-unit teks dalam novel yang menunjukkan konflik batin tokoh kemudian dikaji berdasarkan rumusan masalah. Sumber data berupa novel Dua Barista karya Najhaty Sharma. Novel tersebut diterbitkan pada bulan Januari 2020 oleh penerbit Telaga Aksara yang beralamat di Jl. Depokan II/530 Peleman Rejowinangun Kotagede Yogyakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi teknik baca dan catat. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif analisis. Hasil penelitian ini tokoh mengalami konflik batin yaitu (1) mendekat-mendekat, (2) menjauh-menjauh, (3) mendekat-menjauh. Upaya tokoh mengatasi konflik batin akibat poligami menggunakan cara (1) valensi positif, (2) valensi negatif.

The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the character’s inner conflict due to polygamy in the novel Dua Barista by Najhaty Sharma. (2) describes the character’s efforts to overcome inner conflict’s due to polygamy in the novel Dua Barista by Najhaty Sharma. The theory study used to determine the character’s inner conflict uses the theory of Kurt Lewin’s literary psychology. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a psychological approach. The data used are in the form of text units in the novel that show the inner conflict of the character and then analyzed based on the formulation of the problem. The source of the data is the novel Dua Barista by Najhaty Sharma. The novel was published in January 2020 by Telaga Aksara publisher whose address is at Jl. Depokan II/530 Paleman Rejowinangun Kotagede Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques include reading and note taking techniques. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique. The results of this research is that the characters experience inner conflicts, namely (1) approach-approach, (2) avoidance-avoidance, (3) approach-avoidance. The character’s efforts to overcome inner conflict due to polygamy use (1) positive valence, (2) negative valance.
