Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh terbatasnya kemampuan membatik jumputan yang meliputi mengikat kain, membuat larutan pewarna, mewarna kain, dan melepas ikatan kain yang masih perlu dikembangkan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran langsung terhadap kemampuan membatik jumputan pada siswa tunarungu di SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.
Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis pre eksperimen. Desain penelitian one group pre test-post test design untuk memperoleh data kemampuan membatik jumputan sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan.
Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari hasil pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pre-test 45,83 dan hasil post-test 79,2. Sehingga diperoleh Zh=2,20 lebih besar dibanding nilai krisis 5% Zt=1,96 yang dapat diartikan bahwa ada pengaruh pengaruh model pembelajaran langsung terhadap kemampuan membatik jumputan pada siswa tunarungu di SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.

This research was set a background by the limitedness of making pinching batik ability which involved binding fabric, making dye solution, coloring fabric, and releasing the fabric binding which still required to be developed. This research purpose was to observe the influence of direct learning model toward making pinching batik ability to hearing impairment students in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.
This research method used quantitative approach with pre experiment kind. The research design was One Group Pre test – Post test Design. It was to obtain the data of making pinching batik ability before and after being given treatment.
The research result was obtained from the result of pre-test and post-test. The pre-test result was 45,83 and the post-test result was 79,2. So, it was obtained Zh = 2,20 was greater than critic value 5% Zt = 1,96 which could be interpreted that there was influence of direct learning model toward making pinching batik ability to hearing impairment students in SLB-B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo.
