Busana pesta dengan tema “Bromo Blossom” terinspirarasi dari bunga endemik yaitu edelweis di Gunung Bromo. Sekumpulan bunga edelweis pada sumber ide diwujudkan dalam manipulating fabric gathering yang diterapkan pada busana pesta. Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini mendeskripsikan proses penerapan manipulating fabric dan mendeskripsikan hasil jadi penerapan manipulating fabric gathering pada busana pesta bromo blossom.

Metode rekayasa adalah sebuah prosedur dalam pembuatan busana. Adapun runtutan proses dalam pembuatan busana pesta dengan tema bromo blossom sebagai berikut: sumber ide, sasaran pasar, rencana warna, desain manipulating fabric gathering, desain busana pesta dengan tema bromo blossom, analisis desain, pemilihan bahan busana, proses pembuatan manipulating fabric gathering yang diterapkan pada busana pesta dengan tema bromo blossom dan hasil jadi busana pesta bromo blossom.

Hasil dari perhitungan mean terdapat aspek dengan perolehan nilai tertinggi dan terendah. Aspek tertinggi diperoleh dari aspek 1 dan 3. Aspek 1 “Keindahan desain dengan smber ide bromo blossom” pada indikator 3 ”Pada pemilihan siluet” dengan mean 4.30 dengan kategori sangat sesuai. Aspek 2 “Kesesuaian manipulating fabric gathering dengan sumber ide bromo blossom” pada indikator 2 “pada pemilihan bahan” memperoleh mean 4.30 dengan kategori sangat sesuai. dan aspek dengan nilai terendah diperoleh dari aspek ke-2 ”Kesesuaian manipulating fabric dengan sumber ide dengan mean 3.73. Perolehan total mean hasil jadi manipulating fabric gathering pada busana pesta dengan tema bromo blossom memperoleh nilai 4.07 dengan kategori sesuai. Simpulanya adalah edelweis sebagai sumber inspirasi manipulating fabric gathering sesuai dengan desain, sesuai dengan manipulating fabric, sesuai dengan bentuk manipulating fabric, sesuai dengan peletakan manipulating fabric dan sesuai dengan kerapian busana keseluruhan pada busana pesta.
