Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara, (a) kompetensi ilmu ukur tanah dan self confidence; (b) kompetensi ilmu ukur tanah dan kesiapan kerja; (c) self confidence dan kesiapan kerja peserta didik ; (d) self confidence dan kesiapan kerja yang dikontrol oleh kompetensi ilmu ukur tanah.

Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelatif antara keahlian ilmu ukur tanah dan self confidence dan kesiapan kerja. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa dari program Jurusan Teknik Bangunan SMKN 1 Blitar, SMKN 2 Trenggalek, dan SMKN 3 Jombang yang berjumlah 85 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Teknik dokumentasi, dan Teknik angket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi sederhana dan korelasi parsial.

Hasil analisis data yang didapat dengan uji korelasi antara, (a) Kompetensi Ilmu Ukur Tanah dan Self Confindence memiliki hubungan 0,373 dengan kategori rendah; (b) Kompetensi  Ilmu Ukur Tanah dan Kesiapan Kerja sebesar 0,377 dengan kategori rendah; (c) Self Confindence dan Kesiapan Kerja sebesar 0,383 dengan kategori rendah; (d) Uji korelasi pasial antara Self Confidence dengan Kesiapan Kerja dikontrol Kompetensi Ilmu Ukur Tanah sebesar 0,282 dengan kategori rendah.

        The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between, (a) the competence of land surveying and self confidence; (b) competency in land surveying and work readliness; (c) self confidence and readiness of students work; (d) self confidence and work readiness that are controlled by the competence of geothermal science.

       This type of research is correlative descriptive between land surveying skills and study were students from the Departement of building Engineering at SMKN 1 Blitar, SMKN 2 Trenggalek and SMKN 3 Jombang, totaling 85 students. Data collection techniques used were documentation technique, an questionnaire technique. Data analysis used are simple correlation and partial correlation.

    The results of data analysis obtained by the correlation test between, (a) competence of soil measurement and self confidence have a relationship of 0,373 with a low category; (b) competency in land measurement and work readiness of 0,383 in the low category; (d) test of pasial caorrelation between self confidence and work readiness is controlled by the competency of land measurement science of 0,282 a low category.
