MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BAHASA EKSPRESIF MELALUI KEGIATAN DI LUAR KELAS PADA ANAK USIA 3-4 TAHUN DI PPT MADANI SUKOLILO SURABAYA
IMPROVING EXPRESSIVE LANGUAGE ABILITY THROUGH OUT OF CLASS ACTIVITIES IN CHILDREN AGED 3-4 YEARS AT PPT MADANI SUKOLILO SURABAYA
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 3-4 tahun melalui kegiatan di luar kelas yaitu berkunjung dan berbelanja di penjual sayur dekat sekolah. Kegiatan ini dipilih karena dapat memberikan pengalaman nyata dan interaksi sosial yang berbeda dengan kegiatan di dalam kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilakukan dalam 3 siklus terhadap 12 anak di PPT Madani Surabaya dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, dokumentasi dan skala penilaian, sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dari hasil observasi ditemukan bahwa kegiatan tersebut mampu meningkatkan bahasa ekspresif, anak menjadi berani untuk mengungkapkan keinginannya, mempunyai kesempatan yang lebih luas dan beragam untuk bertanya dan menjawab perihal kegiatan, serta lebih aktif menggunakan kosakata baru seperti nama-nama sayur dan buah, istilah kegiatan jual beli (misalnya: "membeli", "menawar", "harga", "uang kembali"). Penelitian ini berhasil karena dari hasil observasi yang dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah siklus terdapat peningkatan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif. Sebelum tindakan, kemampuan bahasa ekspesif anak sebesar 41,7%, setelah tindakan pada siklus I, meningkat menjadi 65,3%, kemudian dilanjutkan pada siklus II (72,2%), karena belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan maka perlu untuk dilakukan tindakan kembali pada siklus III (87,5%). Hasil dari siklus III sudah mencapai nilai indikator keberhasilan (80%) dan masuk dalam kategori berkembang sangat baik. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan di luar kelas berkunjung dan berbelanja di penjual sayur dekat sekolah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa ekspresif anak usia 3-4 tahun di PAUD Madani Surabaya.

The purpose of this study was to improve the expressive language skills of children aged 3-4 years through activities outside the classroom, namely visiting and shopping at a vegetable seller near the school. This activity was chosen because it can provide real experiences and social interactions that are different from activities in the classroom. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research which was carried out in 3 cycles on 12 children at PPT Madani Surabaya with data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation and assessment scales, while the data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative analysis. From the results of the observation, it was found that the activity was able to improve expressive language, children became braver in expressing their desires, had wider and more diverse opportunities to ask and answer questions about activities, and were more active in using new vocabulary such as the names of vegetables and fruits, terms for buying and selling activities (eg: "buy", "bargain", "price", "money back"). This research was successful because from the results of observations conducted before and after the cycle there was an increase in expressive language skills. Before the action, the children's expressive language skills were 41.7%, after the action in cycle I, it increased to 65.3%, then continued in cycle II (72.2%), because it had not reached the success indicator, action was needed again in cycle III (87.5%). The results of cycle III had reached the success indicator value (80%) and were included in the category of developing very well. Thus it is concluded that activities outside the classroom visiting and shopping at vegetable sellers near the school can improve the expressive language skills of children aged 3-4 years at PAUD Madani Surabaya.
