Olimpiade Tokyo 2020 cabang olahraga bola basket telah selesai, Jepang dinyatakan sebagai runner up setelah dikalahkan oleh USA, ada banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi tim nasional basket putri Jepang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis kegagalan tim nasional putri basket Jepang pada final olimpiade Tokyo menggunakan metode analisis SWOT. Penelitian non-eksperimen ini termasuk dalam penelitian analisis deskriptif kualitatif. “Metode penelitian deskriptif ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui keberadaan variabel mandiri, baik hanya satu variabel atau lebih. Tanpa membuat perbandingan variabel itu sendiri dan mencari hubungan dengan variabel lain. Intrumen yang digunakan yaitu dokumentasi instrument penelitian berupa video pertandingan dan juga lembar analisis, data yang disimpulkan hanya bersifat deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu video pertandingan final tim nasional putri basket Jepang melawan USA pada Olimpiade Tokyo 2020. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan untuk mendapatkan point yang unggul pada partai final USA dominan main pada paint area. Disinilah kita diberikan pengetahuan bahwa apabila mempunyai postur yang diunggulkan dan skill yang kompeten pada cabang olahraga bola basket secara garis besar dapat diunggulkan. USA merupakan paket komplit dari itu semua. tetapi Jepang merupakan kejutan istimewa dalam event Olimpiade kali ini. Kesimpulan yang didapat yaitu analisis SWOT kegagalan tim nasional putri Jepang pada Olimpiade Tokyo 2020 terletak pada kalahnya postur dan skill dibawah lawan sehingga menimbulkan rasa pesimis atlet.

Olympics The Tokyo 2020 Olympics basketball sport has been completed, Japan was declared runner up after being defeated by the USA, there are many factors that affect the Japanese women's national basketball team. The purpose of this study is to analyze the failure of the Japanese women's national basketball team in the Tokyo Olympics final using the SWOT analysis method. This non-experimental research is included in the qualitative descriptive analysis research. “This descriptive research method was conducted to determine the existence of independent variables, either only one or more variables. Without making comparisons of the variables themselves and looking for relationships with other variables. The instruments used are research instrument documentation in the form of match videos and analysis sheets, the data concluded are only descriptive. The subject of this research is the video of the final match of the Japanese women's national basketball team against the USA at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The results of this study show that to get a superior point in the final the USA is dominant in playing in the paint area. This is where we are given the knowledge that if you have a superior posture and competent skills in basketball, you can generally be superior. USA is the Complete package of it all. but Japan is a special surprise in the Olympic event this time. The conclusion obtained is that the SWOT of the failure of the Japanese women's national team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics lies in the loss of posture and skill under the opponent, causing athletes to feel pessimistic.
