ABSTRACT
Krempyeng/traditional market is one of the informal sectors that is growing rapidly in Sukorejo Village. One of the Krempyeng/traditional markets that has become a phenomenon in Sukorejo Village is the Krempyeng/traditional morning market near the Jl Munginsidi crossing, between the T-junction and the crossing which was later moved to Jl Arif Rahman. Judge. This market has unique characteristics compared to the Krempyeng market/other traditional markets in Sukorejo Village in terms of time, so it was identified as a research area. The presence of this market turns out to be dualistic like other informal sectors.
Apart from being a gathering place for around 200 traders and other stakeholders, the existence of this market also raises complex problems, both social, economic and spatial. The existence of this market needs to be reconsidered because it is a spatial and socio-economic phenomenon that often occurs in developing villages. The Krempyeng/traditional market as part of the informal economy is interesting to study because of its independence in creating jobs and providing cheap goods and services, as well as its reputation as a safety valve that prevents unemployment and social unrest. On this basis, this research was conducted to determine the phenomenon of Krempyeng/traditional morning markets in rural life. The aim to be achieved is to identify the characteristics of the Krempyeng/pagi traditional market, identify problems and causal factors, and find out the development of the traditional market itself.
