This study examines the process of creating casual wear inspired by the legendary figure of East Java, Dewi Kilisuci, who represents spirituality, wisdom, and feminine strength. The purpose of this creative research is to describe: (1) the process of fashion creation, (2) the final results of the fashion creation, and (3) the presentation of the created works. The method used is practice-led research with four main stages: exploration, design, realization, and presentation. Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach was applied to interpret the symbolic attributes of Dewi Kilisuci and translate them into the visual expression of contemporary fashion. The results show that the creation process began with thematic exploration through a moodboard, producing 20 female and 10 male designs, from which three designs—two female and one male—were selected in the design stage. The realization stage included measurement, pattern making, sewing, and finishing. The final works consist of three casual wear outfits (two female and one male) inspired by the character of Dewi Kilisuci, which were presented at the Annual Fashion Show “MAHATRAKALA” 2025 and the Pameran Busana Cipta Karya.
