IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) MODEL BASED ON KAYAGAN API LOCAL WISDOM TO IMPROVE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS
Upaya meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran fisika dapat dilakukan dengan model problem based learning berbasis kearifan lokal kayangan api. Tujuan peneliltian adalah menganalisis keterlaksanaan pembelajaran fisika, menganalisis peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMA dengan model problem based learning berbasis kearifan lokal kayangan api, dan menganalisis respon peserta didik selama penerapan pembelajaran fisika dengan model problem based learning berbasis kearifan lokal kayangan api. Desain penelitian menggunakan One group pretest dan posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Bojonegoro dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak tiga kelas. Dengan instrumen yang digunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar tes peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan lembar angket respon. Teknik analisis data keterlaksanaan pembelaran dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, analisis keterampilan berpikir kritis menggunakan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, kemudian uji tatistic dengan uji Ngain , t – berpasangan dan ANOVA. Respon peserta didik menggunakan hasil dari angket respon dari peserta didik. Hasil penelitian keterlaksanaan pembelajaran terlaksana sebesar 67% kategori baik disetiap pertemuan dan 95% kategori sangat baik disetiap sintaks. Keterampilan berpikir kritis diperoleh nilai normalitas Ngain diatas 0,05 data terdistribusi normal, nilai homogen sebesar 0,517 data bersifat homogen. Nilai Ngain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,61 masuk pada kategori sedang, kelas replikasi 1 dan 2 sebesar 0,65 pada kategori sedang. Nilai uji – t terdapat perbedaan nilai pretest dan posttest dan ANOVA sebesar 0,281 artinya terdapat konsistensi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada ketiga kelas. Respon peserta didik dari ketiga kelas sebesar 76,20 %, 76,24 % dan 77,42% masuk dalam kategori baik. Temuan dari hasil pengamatan diperoleh bahwa pembelajaran dengan model PBL berbasis kearifan lokal berjalan baik sesuai dengan sintaks pembelajaran. Terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada kategori sedang serta konsisten pada ketiga kelas. Respon peserta didik terhadap implementasi model PBL berbasis kearifan lokal kayangan api mendapatkan respon yang baik yang ditunjukan dengan hasil dari angket respon peserta didik. Kelebihan penelitian ini dapat menambah keterampilan beprikir kritis serta keterampilan menyelesaikan masalah, dapat menumbuhkan karakter dan rasa cinta terhadap kearifan lokal. Kekurangan penelitian memerlukan waktu yang relatif banyak agar terlaksana dengan maksimal. Oleh karena itu model problem based learning berbasis kearifan lokal kayangan api dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik.
Efforts to improve critical thinking skills in physics learning can be done with a problem based learning model based on the local wisdom of Kayangan Api. The aim of the research is to analyze the implementation of physics learning, analyze the improvement in critical thinking skills of high school students with a problem based learning model based on Kayangan Api local wisdom, and analyze students’ responses during the application of physics learning with a problem based learning model based on Kayangan Api local wisdom. The research design uses one group pretest and posttest. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Bojonegoro with a research sample of three classes. The instruments used are observation sheets for learning implementation, test sheets for improving critical thinking skills and response questionnaire sheets. Data analysis techniques for learning implementation using observation sheets, analysis of critical thinking skills using prerequisite tests, namely the normality test and homogeneity test, then statistical tests using the Ngain test, paired t-test and ANOVA. Student responses use the results of the student response questionnaire. The results of research on the implementation of learning were 67% in the good category at each meeting and 95% in the very good category at each syntax. Critical thinking skills obtained Ngain normality value above 0.05, the data is normally distributed, the homogeneity value is 0.517, the data is homogeneous. The Ngain value in the experimental class was 0.61 in the medium category, replication classes 1 and 2 were 0.65 in the medium category. The t-test value shows a difference in the pretest and posttest and ANOVA values of 0.281, meaning that there is a consistent increase in critical thinking skills in the three classes. Student responses from the three classes were 76.20%, 76.24% and 77.42% in the good category. The findings from the observations showed that learning using the PBL model based on local wisdom went well according to the learning syntax. There was an increase in critical thinking skills in the moderate category and was consistent in all three classes. The students’ response to the implementation of the PBL model based on the local wisdom of Kayangan Api received a good response as shown by the results of the student response questionnaire. The advantages of this research are that it can increase critical thinking skills and problem solving skills, it can grow character and love for local wisdom. The drawback is that research requires a relatively large amount of time to be carried out optimally. Therefore, the problem based learning model based on the local wisdom of Kayangan Api can improve students’ critical thinking skills.
