Selam atau biasa disebut Finswimming merupakan salah satu cabang olahraga akuatik yang menguji kemampuan seorang atlet untuk berenang secepat mungkin. Jarak kecepatan 50m diukur dari posisi start diatas start block sampai ke dinding finish 50m. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh High Intensity Interval Training terhadap peningkatan kecepatan atlet Eagle Diving Club Kota Surabaya. Penelitian ini fokus pada peningkatan performa atlet, terutama pada kecepatan 50m bifin, karena hasil observasi lapangan menunjukkan bahwa atlet kelompok umur A di Eagle Diving Club Kota Surabaya yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam meningkatkan performa waktu terbaik mereka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian Pre-Experimen yaitu One Group Pretest-Posttest. Teknik Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Purposive Sampling berjumlah 9 orang atlet selam laki- laki dan perempuan serta berusia 18-22 tahun. Intrumen untuk mengukur jarak kecepatan yaitu menggunakan test 50m bifin dengan pemberian High Intensity Interval Training dengan 24 sesi selama 8 minggu.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari uji hipotesis hasil dari kecepatan 50m Pretest maupun Posttest atlet Eagle Diving Club Kota Surabaya dilakukan dengan uji statistic non parametric uji Wilcoxon dan bantuan SPSS diperoleh nilai asymp. Sig. 0,008 < 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima yang artinya ada perbedaan rata-rata dua sampel yang saling berpasangan terhadap peningkatan performa kecepatan atlet Eagle Diving Club Kota Surabaya.

Diving or commonly called Finswimming is one of the aquatic sports that tests an athlete's ability to swim as fast as possible. The 50m speed distance is measured from the starting position above the start block to the 50m finish wall. This study aims to find out whether there is an effect of High Intensity Interval Training on increasing the speed of Eagle Diving Club athletes in Surabaya City. This study focuses on improving athletes' performance, especially at the speed of 50m bifin, because the results of field observations show that age group A athletes at the Eagle Diving Club of Surabaya City face difficulties in improving their best time performance. This research is a quantitative research with a Pre-Experiment research method , namely One Group Pretest-Posttest. The sampling technique was carried out by Purposive Sampling totaling 9 male and female diving athletes and aged 18-22 years. The instrument to measure the speed distance is to use the 50m bifin test with the provision of High Intensity Interval Training with 24 sessions for 8 weeks.
Based on the results of the analysis of the hypothesis test, the results of the 50m speed Pretest and Posttest of Eagle Diving Club athletes in Surabaya City were carried out with non-parametric statistical tests, Wilcoxon test and SPSS assistance obtained an asymp value. Sig. 0.008 < 0.05, then the hypothesis was accepted, which means that there is an average difference between two paired samples to the increase in speed performance of Eagle Diving athletes Surabaya City Club.
