PENGELOLAAN PROGRAM VOCATIONAL SKILL DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PESERTA DIDIK SKB NEGERI SURABAYA
MANAGEMENT OF VOCATIONAL SKILL PROGRAM IN IMPROVING THE COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF SKB NEGERI SURABAYA
Pengelolaan merupakan serangkaian proses berupa perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi dalam suatu lembaga dengan tujuan tercapainya suatu tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Program vocational skill merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di SKB Negeri Surabaya dengan tujuan meningkatkan kompetensi dan menggali potensi peserta didik melalui keterampilan-keterampilan yang diberikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui vi pengelolaan program vocational skill dalam meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik SKB Negeri Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif desktiptif. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, guru pamong dan peserta didik SKB Negeri Surabaya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga cara yakni observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan program vocational skill dapat meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik meliputi kompetensi kognitif, kompetensi afektif dan kompetensi prikomotorik. Keterampilan tersebut didapatkan peserta didik saat mengikuti program vocational skill di SKB Negeri Surabaya antara lain memasak, pangkas rambut, menjahit dan lain-lain. Dalam melakukan pengelolaan melalui perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi yang dibantu dengan Dinas Pendidikan kota Surabaya, SKB Negeri Surabaya melakukan serangkaian proses pengelolaan. Serangkaian proses tersebut meliputi, analisis kebutuhan peserta didik, menentukan waktu pelaksanaan, menyediakan sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung, pendanaan, kurikulum, mengidentifikan kendala yang dihadapi, mengevaluasi kehadiran peserta didik, hasil program dan proses program vocational skill di SKB Negeri vii Surabaya. Adapun kendala yang dihadapi SKB Negeri Surabaya dalam mengadakan program vocational skill adalah terbatasnya sarana yang mendukung kegiatan, minat dan kehadiran peserta didik serta manajemen waktu dalam pelaksanaan program vocational skill. Dari hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa program vocational skill dapat meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik SKB Negeri Surabaya melalui serangkaian pengelolaan meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Dalam pengelolaan program vocational skill terdapat beberapa kendala yang dihadapi SKB Negeri Surabaya yakni terbatasnya sarana yang mendukung kegiatan, minat dan kehadiran peserta didik serta manajemen waktu dalam pelaksanaan program vocational skill.

Management is a series of processes in the form of planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating within an institution with the aim of achieving a predetermined goal. The vocational skill program is one of the activities carried out at the Surabaya State SKB with the aim of increasing competence and exploring the potential of students through the skills provided. The purpose of this study was to determine the management of the vocational skills program in improving the competence of Surabaya State SKB students. ix This research is a research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The research subjects were school principals, tutors and Surabaya State SKB students. Data collection was carried out in three ways, namely participatory observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the management of vocational skills programs can improve students' competencies including cognitive competence, affective competence and pricomotor competence. These skills are acquired by students while participating in the vocational skills program at the Surabaya State SKB, including cooking, cutting hair, sewing and others. In carrying out management through planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating assisted by the Surabaya City Education Office, the SKB Negeri Surabaya carries out a series of management processes. The series of processes include analyzing student needs, determining implementation time, providing supporting facilities and infrastructure, funding, curriculum, identifying obstacles faced, evaluating student attendance, program results and the process of the vocational skills program at the Surabaya State SKB. The obstacles faced by the Surabaya State SKB in holding the vocational skills program are the limited facilities that support the activities, interest and presence of students as well x as time management in implementing the vocational skills program. From the results of this study it was concluded that the vocational skills program can improve the competence of SKB Negeri Surabaya students through a series of management including planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating. In managing the vocational skills program, there are several obstacles faced by the Surabaya State SKB, namely the limited facilities that support activities, interest and attendance of students and time management in implementing the vocational skills program.
