Mossrose Sebagai Ide Dasar Penciptaan Motif Batik pada Busana Wanita

 Mossrose as the Basic Idea of Creating Motifs in Women's Clothing

Mossrose merupakan tanaman yang menarik dan istimewa, tanaman ini memiliki berbagai warna yang indah. Tanaman mossrose berkembang sepanjang tahun, memiliki kemampuan adaptasi yang baik terhadap lingkungan dan mudah dibudidayakan karena itulah seringkali tanaman ini dianggap sebagai gulma atau tanaman yang tidak diharapkan, meskipun begitu tanaman mossrose tetap tumbuh dengan indah. Keistimewaan itulah yang membuat peneliti tertarik menjadikan tanaman mossrose sebagai ide dasar motif batik pada busana wanita. Metode penciptaan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kreatifitas oleh Graham Walles yaitu tahap persiapan (preparation), tahap inkubasi (pengeraman), tahap iluminasi (munculnya ilham) dan tahap verifikasi (pengujian). Dalam penciptaan karya peneliti melalui proses pematangan konsep, pembuatan desain atau rancangan, validasi desain atau rancangan oleh dosen pembimbing, proses perwujudan karya, dan finishing. Selama proses penciptaan karya, peneliti mengalami beberapa kendala dan inspirasi yang datang secara spontan. Peneliti membuat empat karya berupa tiga buah busana wanita dan satu buah kain panjang. Karya pertama berjudul Mossrose, karya kedua berjudul Crybaby, karya ketiga berjudul Enthusiast, karya keempat berjudul Mono.

Mossrose is a beautiful and special plant, this plant has a variety of beautiful colors. Mossrose grow throughout the year, have good adaptability to enviroment and are easy to cultivate, which is why they are often considered as weeds or unwanted plants, even though mossrose still grow beautifully. This features makes the researcher interested to making mossrose the basic idea for batik motif in women’s clothing. The method of creation used in this research is the creative method by Graham Walles, there are the preparation stage, the incubation stage, the illumination stage (the emergence of inspiration) and the verification stage (testing). In creation of the researcher’s work through the process fixing the concepts, making design, validation of design, the process of working in progress. The researcher made four works, there are three pieces of women’s clothing and one piece of long cloth. The first work is entitled Mossrose, the second work is entitled Crybaby, the third work is entitled Enthusiast and the fourth work is entitled Mono.
