PENGARUH TAYANGAN FILM SEMESTA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN RASA CINTA TANAH AIR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS 

THE EFFECT OF SHOWING THE MOVIE UNIVERSE TO INCREASE THE SENSE OF LOVE FOR THE COUNTRY IN IPS LEARNING

Peneliti memilih Film Semesta dikarenakan menurut peneliti film ini sangat mampu memberikan motivasi serta dapat membentuk karakter bangsa sehingga dapat meningkatkan rasa cinta tanah air. Bagi peneliti, film ini menyuarakan bagaimana kita harus menjaga lingkungan sekitar supaya selalu bersih serta alam tidak rusak seperti digambarkan melalui tujuh perspektif yang berbeda-beda di setiap daerahnya.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain kontrol posttest-only diterapkan guna melakukan penelitian eksperimental terhadap metodologi true eksperimental design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yakni seluruh peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin. Pemilihan sampel dilaksanakan dengan menerapkan purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas VIII-4 dengan jumlah 34 siswa sebagai sampel untuk kelas eksperimen, serta kelas VIII-3 dengan jumlah 37 siswa sebagai kelas control. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar angket. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji prasyarat dengan menggunakan uji sample t-test. 

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan tayangan film semesta terhadap rasa cita tanah air siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik yakni bahwa tayangan film semesta berpengaruh terhadap rasa cinta tanah air siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin. Dimana pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin bila menggunakan tayangan film semesta dapat membuktikan siswa tersebut mempunyai rasa cinta tanah air pada mata pelajaran IPS yang cukup tinggi.

Researchers chose Semesta because according to researchers, this film is very capable of providing motivation and can shape the character of the nation so that it can increase love for the country. For researchers, this movie voices how we must protect the surrounding environment so that it is always clean and nature is not damaged as described through seven different perspectives in each region. 

This research is a quantitative study with a posttest-only control design applied to conduct experimental research on true experimental design methodology. The population in this study was all students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin. The sample selection was carried out by applying purposive sampling and obtained class VIII-4 with a 34 students as a sample for the experimental class and class VIII-3 with a 37 students as a control class. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The research instrument used was a questionnaire sheet. Hypothesis testing uses a prerequisite test using a sample t-test.

The results showed that there was a significant effect of the movie universe on the sense of homeland of students in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin. The conclusion that can be drawn is that the movie show universe affects the sense of love for the homeland of students in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin. Where in social studies subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin when using the movie universe can prove that students have a sense of patriotism in social studies subjects that are quite high.
