Application of Spiral Flounce on Evening Dress with Lucullian of Camelia Theme

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui proses penerapan dan hasil jadi evening dress dengan sumber ide bunga Camelia menggunakan teknuk spiral flounce. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Double Diamond, yang terdiri dari 4 tahapan meliputi discover, define,  develope, deliver. Tahap discover melakukan pencarian dan mengumpulkan inspirasi mengenai karakteristik bunga Camelia, Define menentukan sumber ide untuk dijadikan moodboard, menentukan rencana warna dan bahan, membuat desain ilustrasi yang sesuai dengan sumber ide, develop menentukan desain ilustrasi, desain produksi, dan uji coba spiral flounce, tahap terakhir deliver penyelesaian hasil jadi busana dengan inspirasi bunga Camelia. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan penyebaran angket pada penerapan dan hasil jadi pembuatan busana oleh ahli dibidang fashion, dosen tata busana, dan mahasiswa tata busana dengan skala 1 hingga 5. Hasil jadi busana evening dress menunjukkan bahwa sesuai dengan yang diharapkan yaitu gaun dengan siluet L menggunakan v neck, menggunakan warna merah dengan hiasan payet dan lace berhasil menciptakan kesan mewah dan memperindah penampilan busana. Spiral flounce yang diterapkan pada lengan kanan dan kiri menerapkan keseimbangan yang membentuk siluet dari bunga Camelia. Hasil jadi busana telah memenuhi kriteria yang di inginkan.

This research aims to find out the application process and the finished evening dress with Camelia flower as the source of the idea using the spiral flounce technique. The research method used is Double Diamond, which consists of 4 stages discover, define, develop, and deliver. The discover stage searches for and collects inspiration about the characteristics of Camellias, Define and determines the source of ideas to be used as a mood board, determines the color plan and materials, makes an illustration design by the head of thoughts, develops and determines the illustration design, production design, and spiral flounce trials, the last stage delivers the completion of the finished fashion with Camellia flower inspiration.. The instrument for collecting data was distributing questionnaires on the application and finished product of making evening dresses by experts in the field of fashion, lecturers of fashion, and students of fashion with a scale of 1 to 5. Applying the spiral flounce technique using organza material, then placed on the sleeve and then shaped to produce the silhouette of a Camellia flower. The finished result of the evening dress showed that it was as expected, namely a dress with an L silhouette using a v-neck, using red color with sequins and lace decoration that successfully created a luxurious impression and beautified the appearance of the outfit. Spiral flounce applied on the right, and left sleeves applied the principles of center of interest and balance that formed the silhouette of the Camellia flower. The finished product as a whole met the desire.
